My name is Adrienne Smith and I love helping people.  You’ll come to learn that about me if you stick around here long enough.

What I write about here on my blog is a wide variety of content.  I have found that my readers have enjoyed reading about the things I’ve learned since venturing online.  I’m involved in numerous things so you’ll find information here pertaining to internet, affiliate and network marketing as well as topics that cover social media, blogging, online marketing and personal growth.

I’m very passionate when it comes to living my life to the fullest and I would be honored to help YOU as well.

First, here is a little bit about me…

I grew up in a small town in Texas and am the middle child.  I struggled in school so I didn’t have enough confidence in myself that I could be anything I wanted to be.  I had a very difficult time interpreting what the text books said and when I was going to school, we didn’t have tutors or teachers that were willing to go that extra mile for their students.  My parents were very aware of my learning disability and knew I would have a very difficult time with college but were still upset when I chose not to attend.

I fell into the secretarial field where I worked my way up the corporate ladder to executive assistant.  I spent over 31 years in this field where I worked for presidents and owners of companies and excelled mainly because of my organizational skills.  It certainly didn’t hurt that I have a very outgoing and bubbly personality and am always the first one willing to help.  As you also may have guessed, or maybe not, I’m a baby boomer.

The turn of events…

At the beginning of 2007 my company downsized so I made a conscious choice not to return to the corporate world.  I had become very discouraged with the lack of work ethic.  I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do but for some reason, I just knew this was the right thing for me.  I started learning more about personal development and realized that I had so much more potential than I ever gave myself credit for.

My introduction to the online industry…

So I headed to the internet because I felt I was smart enough to figure this all out.  What a rude awakening!  Everywhere I turned someone was trying to sell me the latest and greatest new system, program, product, service, you name it!   I was naive enough to think that these people actually had my best interests at heart.  Boy, what a huge wake up call.

During this time of trying to find my place online, I continued to work on myself and over time became more and more confident that this was where I belonged.  I admit though I still felt out of my comfort zone in so many ways and fear has a nasty habit of holding you back.

I made every mistake that you can make online.  The good news is that I never gave up on myself.  I struggled longer then I should have but obviously this was what I had to go through in order to appreciate this journey.

Where I am now…

I’ve come a very long way and it’s been a fabulous learning experience for me.  I’ve met some amazing people, built some awesome friendships as well as a successful online business.  I make a full-time living online in the area of affiliate marketing.

I was also named the “Engagement Superstar” because everywhere you look, I’m there.  I’m able to help others learn how to build relationships online and interact with others.  That’s what the online world is all about, building relationships.

It’s been an uphill climb but what I’ve learned the most is to never give up.  More and more people are coming online because they are tired of the rat race and eager to build a better life for their families.
