How To Stay Ahead Of Everyone Else

March 20, 2014 | By Adrienne Smith

I’ve got a quick question for you.

Where are you right now online?

We’re in the third week of March of this new year and if you blink it’s going to be over before you know it.

Are you accomplishing what you set out to do?

I know a lot of people who read my blog are just blogging for the fun of it but I hope you’re sticking around because you’re picking up a few things from me.

For the rest of us though, we’re pretty darn serious about building and growing a profitable business.  Although that’s not what I teach here I can help you where your blogs are concerned.

As I fell into the niche of blogging I did so because I was taking what I was learning, putting it into action and getting great results.  Imagine my surprise when I finally figure out that it really is as easy as they say.  They just failed to show me how.

Here at I teach you about blogging, how to get traffic to your blog and how to build relationships with your readers.

Sometimes though just reading a post isn’t quite enough.  Nope, sometimes we just need someone to explain things a little more or share a little more detail that I might not have gone into here in any of my posts.

For that reason I do consulting because this is a business right!  So if you need a little extra help then just check out what I offer.

So why am I sharing this with you?

Your Education Matters

That’s right, your education definitely matters.

Who are you learning from?  How are you staying ahead of everyone else?

Ever since I came online, everywhere I turned someone was trying to sell me something.  Although it really use to tick me off and I’m sure it does you as well, people are here to build a business.

I get that really but there is a right way to do things and a wrong way and most of the people I ran into were definitely doing it the wrong way.

If you’re not making any money then you don’t have a business.

I don’t know about you but although I love blogging a girl’s got to eat.  I LOVE working at home and you couldn’t get me back to corporate America if you paid me to sit there and stare at the walls.  Okay, if it was six figures and I could do my online stuff while I sat there then I might seriously consider it.

Yeah, like I’ll hold my breath waiting for that to happen.  Not!!!

But seriously!  Most of us are here to build a business in some way whether you’re promoting affiliate products, doing freelance writing, building a coaching or consulting business or promoting your own products.

Everything will continue to change, grow and evolve.  If we don’t stay up on these things then it’s really going to be hard to stay ahead of everyone else.

Who Are You Learning From

So hopefully if you want to have more traction with your blog and give it the attention you know it deserves you’re learning some great things from me.

I know I give away a LOT of really great information here and it’s added up over the years but you can find everything I’ve written on my “Archive Page”.

I already mentioned about my consulting and I even help with some behind the scenes things with your blog too.  Just in case you weren’t aware!

Now let’s move on shall we!

Most of you know that I had a pretty rough 2013 ending with the death of my best friend that really threw me for a loop.

Moving into this new year with all the darn hosting issues I was having I am bound and determined to  make this the best year so far since I’ve been online.  Although before your eyes it might not look like much but behind the scenes, things are really cooking.

Want to know who I’m learning from right now?

I joined Marie Forleo’s B-School just last week and it’s rockin already.

That women is something else guys and she is just what the doctor ordered.  I’m creating my product and I’ll go ahead and share with you right now that it’s just a simple eBook.  Chalked full of goodies of course but after stressing myself totally out last year I said to hell with it, I’m going back to the basics.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about myself it’s to listen to my gut.  No one taught me how to write, how to make connections or what I should be doing as far as that’s concerned and look at me now.

Anyway, the reason I joined B-School is because when I release my product I want to do it right.  I don’t want to learn about joint ventures, leaderboards or any of that stuff.  I want to learn how to market and I mean REALLY market in order to get more people’s attention outside of my current community.

This weeks information is so killer I can’t wait to implement it all.  You’ll definitely be noticing some things with my blog as the months go by.

This is who I’m learning from and how I plan on staying ahead of everyone.

So what about you?

Hooking You Up

Unfortunately for you, B-School’s enrollment closed on the 5th of this month.

Marie only opens the doors once a year but what’s great about her training is that you have lifetime access.  She updates her modules as things change so that’s fabulous for her students.

I have a feeling that next year I’ll definitely be promoting her school because I know you all will be very impressed with my results and hopefully eager to take your business to that same level as well.

In the meantime I know a few people who are doing great things in other areas that can probably help you out as well.

First up we have:

Donna Merrill

I’ve known Donna for about three years now.  I learned that she was very knowledgeable in social media and at that particular time I definitely needed to learn more.  We ended up being in a networking mastermind group later on and have been friends ever since.  If you’ve ever met Donna you’ll know why.

I admire Donna so much because she and I have a lot in common, we LOVE helping people.  She’s got a huge heart so along with her fabulous husband David, they decided to create a product that will not only help new bloggers but seasoned ones as well that still might need a little extra help.

Together they created their product called “Blogging Magic” and it covers everything you’ll probably ever want to know about blogging.

There is SO much to blogging that people don’t yet understand and even after I’d been doing it for over two years I was hit with some things I was never taught and ran into a heck of a mess.  That is never any fun.

I only wish there had been something like this when I first started but luckily for you there is now.

If you need help just check it out and although I have not been through the course myself, I 100% trust and stand behind anything that Donna puts out there.  She’s rock solid, she’s top notch and she will never treat you wrong.

Note:  This is my affiliate link by the way so I never want to not disclose that little piece of very important information.

Sylviane Nuccio

I think I’ve known Sylviane about as long as Donna but I met her through blogging and she continues to impress me because she has a full time job, she has three blogs in three totally different niches, she’s a freelance writer and she’s a life coach.

She just got her certification so she is now a licensed Certified Professional Coach and I’m extremely proud of her.  The reason I can definitely vouch for Sylviane is because I had the honor of being her test client as she was getting ready to finish up her classes and take her test.

It was exactly what I needed right now too because when we’re heading into new phases of our lives we can find that old “stuff” is cropping up at times and we aren’t exactly equipped to acknowledge what it is or how to handle it.

After finishing this up Sylviane wrote and delivered to me my vision statement and I read it every morning.  Seriously guys, I’m very impressed with her so if you’re in need of a life coach I do hope that you’ll give Sylviane a chance.

I Better Wrap This Up

I’m sorry, didn’t mean to drag this on like this but our education is SO important to us moving forward.

I’m getting mine and we all need ongoing education if we want to have a successful business as well.  Whether you need to learn a little more about blogging from me or you need a more detailed course like Donna’s, never stop with your education.  It’s a necessity.

Of course we all know by now that you’ll never get to where you want if you have things holding you back so I highly recommend hooking up with Sylviane if you feel you need more assistance.

Hope you’ll share with me what kind of education you’re in the middle of right now if any and how that’s going for you.  Always love to hear what you’re up to and you know I always appreciate you sharing this with your friends.  They may be in need of certain services too!

Here’s to your ongoing education and may we ALL stay ahead of everyone else.

Hi Adrienne,

It’s exciting to see the way you are becoming more and more passionate about the B-School. I will look forward to some nuggets of wisdom coming out of you in weeks and months to come as a result of your course!

Regarding Donna’s course, I will definitely recommend this to others. David and Donna have done a tremendous job in creative this product and definitely it’s going to help a lot of aspiring bloggers.

I also met Sylviane through blogging communities and as you said, she impresses us with the quality writing she does every single time.

Thank you for sharing!

Hey Kumar,

It’s a fabulous school and I’m excited about this weeks module but I know the coming weeks are going to be even more so. Just putting all the pieces together you know because I’ve always felt that I was missing a few of them. I know that the puzzle will be complete after I finish this course. I hope to be able to share some of what I’m learning with you guys.

I appreciate that and I know they will as well. Knowing Donna like I do and how fabulous David is with the marketing aspect of things I know their product will really help a lot of bloggers. I talk to bloggers all the time and there is SO much to learn and so many pieces that are missing that I know they’ll find what they share helpful.

Sylviane is a woman of many talents. She’s been coaching for awhile now but recently became certified so she can do more and I know you’ll have great success with this. She’s done a fabulous job with me! ;-)

Thank you for your comment Kumar and I know that you continue to learn and grow as well my friend. Here’s to your ongoing success.

Good Morning Adrienne,

First off thank you for giving your readers all your updates and encouraging them to keep on going and maybe even get more serious at blogging.

I am sure that you are going to learn so MUCH with Marie’s course and that all your readers will actually benefit from that too.

Like you I vouch for Donna and David’s product that’s why it was my pleasure to write a post about their Blogging Magic as well this week.

And finally, thank you so, so very much for mentioning me here. Yes, I finally got it, and this morning I’ve posted my digital certification proof everywhere :) The hard copy is in the mail.

We all keep on learning and growing and gravitating towards success! Way to go!

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning Sylviane,

Ah, thank you my friend and you know me! I love to help and I know that anyone who is serious about blogging can be successful if they’re willing to continue learning, growing and applying what they learn. It takes time and hard work but it’s so worth it. Hopefully they’re also moving in the direction of building their own business and we both know how much blogging can help with that.

Marie’s course is awesome and I’m so thrilled that I am a part of that. I’m loving it so much and it’s only week two. I know that big things are coming down the road for me so this year will show a lot of that. I’m excited for sure.

I know that Donna and David appreciate you sharing with your readers about their product as well and I’m happy to spread the word too. I know they can help a lot of bloggers who really need that support, direction and guidance.

As for you young lady, congratulations again and I’m honored you used me as a test client. I know you’ll do really well with your practice and have no doubt you’ll be very busy this year with clients. Best of luck to you and I’m just very excited for you.

I wish us all the best moving forward this year.

You have a wonderful day too Sylviane and thanks again.

Hey Mark,

Why thank you and the education continues right my friend!

I am SO fired up about B-School and I’m learning so much already and it’s really just begun. I’ve got six more weeks to go until it’s done but only four more weeks of work. She gives us a break at the end of the month to get caught up on things but I’m learning a lot already.

It was a pleasure to speak with you and I was happy to help. That’s why I do what I do Mark and I look forward to what you’ll be sharing with us as well.

Rock on my friend and thank you for your comment. You have a fabulous day okay!

Education is absolutely an essential for anything we do in life and working online is no different.

I think you made an excellent move when you joined Marie’s B School. I wish I could of but maybe next year. I know you are learning a lot already. It is really great when a course really teaches you valuable information. I look forward to hearing more about the course and what you are learning in the future.

Great shout out for Donna and Sylviane. They are both great people and have lots to offer for anyone needing help.

You have definitely come along way since beginning online and I know that 2014 is going to be a great year for you.

Hey Dee Ann,

It most definitely is, when blogging or even keeping up with the social media sites things are always changing. We’re always learning about new sites or how things are even done so we have to stay on top of things.

Marie’s B-School is fabulous and I’m so glad I decided to join this year. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about learning before but the only other course that I’ve taken where I really learned a lot was Alex’s. I’ve learned things here and there but never so much in just one place so I’m anxious to put this all into action as well and really take my business to the next level. I’m just excited to see where it will lead and I get to take you along on this ride! ;-)

I’m so happy and proud of both Donna and Sylviane. Creating and launching a product is a lot of work and Sylviane has wanted to make this official for awhile now. I know they’ll both do well with their respective businesses.

Thank you Dee Ann and I know good things are headed your way as well with everything you have planned. I’m happy to be on this ride with you too.

You have a great day and talk to you next week.

Hey Adrienne,

How have you been? Okay in terms of education, heck that is important. Hands down.

For me, I think you (or anyone) should get one (like a degree and stuff) if they are affordable to.
Some says they can’t afford it and all the bla bla bla.

But again, you have off campus etc which you can work and study.

So yes, education? It is way too important!

Hey Reginald,

Good to see you again and I’m doing great. I know you’ve been so busy so hope all is going well for you too! Things okay?

I don’t necessarily agree with you about that one only because I’m the only one who didn’t attend college in my family and at one point I was making more than my brother and sister who both had degrees. Now they’re both doing something where their degrees are really useless so although it might help you get in the door at times, I’ve worked with people who did a much better job that didn’t have them. I’m not by any means saying that education isn’t important but I know for myself, school was really tough and especially with what I wanted to do with my life.

Now that we’re all online, education is just as important if we don’t want to fall behind. Maybe they’ll eventually have degrees in this stuff.

Thanks Reginald and you take care.

Hi Adrienne,
Yet another educative piece on education!!! :-)
I so glad to be here again. Yes, this post indeed reminded me of a quote by Benjamin Franklin
Let me quote: “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” Yes, Adrienne, you are doing the same thing here thru your valuable posts. Even the newbies can pick and learn many thing at this place. Sad to note about the closing date of the much said B-School’s enrollment time. Anyways we need not worry much since you are already enrolled and we will surely get the update about it time to time through these pages :-)
Thank you so much for introducing Donna & Sylviane here, Sure i had an encounter with the wonderful personality called Donna sometime back and of course Sylviane is new, Sure I will be checking out their places to get more LOL :-)
Let me again appreciate you for your kind concern towards others to educate them. Yes, let us share our knowledge.
Adrienne Again I am again reminded of Benjamin Franklin one of the founding fathers of America quote: Though I quote quite often thin in my writings let me quote that again here for the benefit of the visitors here: “If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing.”
What a great and wonderful quote it is!! Let us practice that in our daily activities! of course you are already on that road :-)
Thanks Adrienne, for the great patience you have in attending each comments here!! :-)
You have a wonderful day today :-)
Best Regards,
~ Philip

Hi Philip,

We definitely need to continue to educate ourselves right!

Great quote and very spot on I might add. Thank you for sharing it with us Philip.

I’ll be sharing some things I learn as time goes on. It’s about building a business and then successfully marketing it so there are a lot of things I’m picking up already and it’s just really started. You know how much I love to share information I’m learning because it’s working.

I’m glad you know Donna so if you or someone you know may need helping with blogging then I would definitely point them to her. I can help if they have questions they want answered but they’re more behind the scenes of everything through videos so a lot of people love to learn that way.

Sylviane is multi-talented and now a certified professional coach. We all need direction from time to time so again, if you’re aware of anyone searching for a life coach I highly recommend her.

Thank you again for sharing the quotes Philip and you have a wonderful day as well. Let us all be blessed with much success.

Hi Adrienne,
Nice to hear from you again, thanks a lot for the quick feedback.
hey, while checking the pages of Sylviane i noticed that i visted
her page too several times but in the first intro i could not recognize it,
Anyways its good to know more about these two wonderful personalities in
world wide web :-) May their tribe increase, yes, the quotes the second one
I liked the most and i strive to do it in my life to follow that :-) I have posted few
post in this regard, of Sharing our blessings to others, but sad to say that many just hold
it for their own selfish interest and in the long run it will surely perish along with them without getting any benefits to his or her surrounding people. Let us not waste our God given great talents, instead let us share it for others tool :-) Have a good day.

Hey Enstine,

I know you’re a lot more ahead of this online money making thing than so many people so bravo to you for continuing to learn and grow in this area. I think that we all need to continue our education whether it’s how to create our own product, how to do affiliate marketing, how to start or find what business we want to do or how to market. There is just so much to learn and so much that changes so we have to stay on top of things. I know that you’ll join whatever training you need as the time arises.

I’m glad I was able to point you in their direction and look at them now! Donna has her first product and Sylviane is now officially a certified professional coach. As we move on into the new year they are growing and expanding their businesses.

You’re very welcome Enstine and thank you so very much for your ongoing support and contribution to my posts. I appreciate you and you enjoy what’s left of this week as well.

17 Sandy Halliday March 20, 2014 at 10:41 AM

Hi Adrienne,

To answer your first question I have not yet accomplished what I set out to do at the beginning of the year. I decided to go in a completely different direction to get away from blogging but that was fraught with difficulties and didn’t work out.

I’ve said it before but I really don’t know how Sylviane manages to keep up with 3 blogs while doing a full time job. She must be superwoman! It’s all I can do to keep one going and I don’t have a regular job. As you know I gave up posting to my IM blog last September which was a huge relief.

I am still trying to find a way of getting my traffic back to my detox blog after Google’s onslaught. I have read enough posts and have bought enough courses to know how, but putting it all into practice is a different kettle of fish.

I had high hopes of learning more from a well known marketer, who offered his 1 to 1 coaching as a bonus if I bought a product through his link, which I did. During our first and only Skype conversation he looked at my business and told me how he could help me.

He said he was excited as I had already had a business which was a lot more than most of his coaching students had. I was excited too because of how he said he could help me. It started off well and I got some help with getting my Kindle book onto the first page of the Amazon search for my keyword.

After that we were going to tackle my squeeze/sales funnel. I sent him all the links as he requested and he promised a detailed plan would follow. It didn’t. In spite of all my reminders and his repeated assurances that it was forthcoming nothing has happened. It’s all very disappointing. It’s difficult to know what to do. I feel like naming and shaming him somewhere and somehow but I keep hoping he might come through. Ever the optomist!

I’m out in Spain again for 4 weeks, recharging my batteries and trying to keep up with everything. My husband thinks I should just drop everything while I’m here but I can’t bring myself to do that. I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. One week maybe but not four!

I am looking forward to reading the notes from Marie Forleo’s B-School that you are sending out. I have yet to read the first pdf. Thanks for the kind gesture. It’s much appreciated.

Thanks for yet another enjoyable and thought provoking read.
Enjoy your burger Saturday at your brother’s.

March 20, 2014 at 11:05 AM

Hi Sandy,

I know you stopped blogging on your IM blog because you felt that health was where you belonged. So did you just not want to blog anymore? I know that when we reply on Google too much for our traffic then this kind of disappointment can set in when they slap us for one reason or the other. I’m sorry that happened to you and you’ve been working on getting is some ground now.

Sylviane does have three blogs but not as much traffic to each of them as she would like but I don’t have to tell you how much work it is to just concentrate and market one. To have three of those that need the same amount of attention plus her full time job, her freelance writing work and her coaching. There is just no way I could do all of that nor would I want to.

Oh my gosh Sandy and I’m SO sorry he let you down. To buy his product and to be promised this support only for him to completely ignore you or should I say, to continue to give you excuses is unacceptable. For some unknown reason I have a feeling I know who it might be because this same person has literally screwed a few of my friends as well and this is all sounding very familiar. Anyone who writes about this guy on their blogs I just won’t visit because I know how unethical he is and I just can’t imagine he still has a business with the way he treats people. In my opinion he’s going after the newbies who don’t know any better and that’s how a lot of people end up getting a bad name. Again, I’m SO sorry Sandy.

I hope you’re enjoying yourself at least. I think at times we need a break but what I’ve learned about running an online business, if you don’t have things in place for stuff to be going on while you’re on vacation then ignoring it for several weeks can hurt you in the long run. I know that’s why a lot of people are frustrated because they’re treating it like a hobby instead of a business. I’m sure your husband just knows how frustrated you are and would like you to just enjoy yourself for awhile. I don’t blame him.

I have a feeling that what I’m sharing with my subscribers can help anyone who is eager to build a successful business. We can take what applies to what we’re doing and run with it. Hope you’ll have time to check those out.

Thank you Sandy and I most definitely will. Looking forward to spending time with almost the whole family. My sister has to work unfortunately be we’ll catch up with her soon.

Enjoy Spain!

You’re so right , Adrienne! Time flies so fast, as the memories of my first post this year of creating a life plan hasn’t faded still and here I can see that almost a quarter of the year has already passed by. Well, I’m sorry I’m a bit late to the post today, as I’m travelling, but then how could I miss your post!

Did I accomplish what I planned? A bit, yes, but then I realize I’ve been slow and much more could’ve been done.

You’re doing a great job, Adrienne. And I had recently mentioned that you learn better when you teach, and its a win-win thing for you and for your blog readers, who hugely benefit from your giving nature.

I totally agree that you need to update yourself to keep ahead, and more so that you’re not left behind. This is one of the qualities of a pro blogger that I defined on my latest post. I’m glad you brought up this point and emphasized on it.

You’re blogging full-time and you need to make it your business too. This is actually one aspect I discussed in my post about pro bloggers, you need to make your blog a business and earn a livelihood from it, but I agree that it does not mean that you resort to any ways; it has to be right and ethical.

I’m so happy that you decided to move on after going through a lot in the past few months and I really appreciate your joining the course, and sharing its good things with us. Wow! great to know that you’re coming up with an ebook and I’m already eager to read it! :)

You’re right about the gut feeling, drifting bit away from the topic, I recently read that scientists believe there’s a high neurological connection between the brain and the gut, and that’s why gut feelings are so important! I don’t know how much of that is true, since it was a newspaper report.

You’re an example of a self-made pro blogger. I’m sure you’ll achieve success for your new product too! I’m looking forward to great changes on your blog. :) It’s great to hear about Marie and I’m sure she’s really special when the recommendation comes from you.

It’s good to know that you’re helping and promoting Donna and Sylviane. I really wish the best for blogging magic, and I’m sure it’s a great product. I’m so glad Sylviane got her certification at last and I know she’ll make a great life coach. :)

Thanks for this post to remind us about the importance of education and about keeping ourselves updated and abreast of all things. :)

Hey Harleena,

Can you believe this is the first day of Spring? We’ll be into April in just a few weeks so this year has really started off quickly. Good for you and hope you’re traveling for pleasure Harleena.

You’ve done a lot with your blog and I can’t imagine what else you might have wanted to include but I’m sure there is always something and a lot of it is behind the scenes stuff that we’re never aware of. You also have your freelance work as well which I can only imagine how much time that takes.

I really do much better hands on, it’s how I learn. Of course once we do learn we need to apply it in order to understand it better and get results. They don’t always come quickly and some take more time but we actually have to do it in order to move forward.

I saw the title of your post a little earlier and have it loaded up to read. Sounds like we’re a lot on the same wave length with this subject. Most of the very successful business men and women that I’ve spoke with are always going to conferences and taking course to stay on top of things. To be some of the firsts to share new stuff and great ways they can tweak their businesses. Thinking we’ve done enough will never help us down the road.

If you have a blog to support your business than you definitely need to take this seriously. We love to help people and that’s part of attracting them to us and providing the information they’re looking for. That means we’ll be someone they can count on and hopefully follow from this point forward.

This course is really going to take me to that next level and I’m always eager to share what I learn. I know it will benefit me and I hope it will benefit you as well.

I definitely believe that report. That’s why women have such a strong intuition about things. It doesn’t even have to be explained a lot of times but we just need to listen to it and so far it’s never steered me wrong.

Thank you Harleena and I think that those that learn, apply, grow and share all while really caring about people will have so much more success online then those that don’t. Anyone can really make money quickly but for it to be sustainable and for the long term, that’s all based on your reputation and service. I’m learning a lot from Marie and that’s why I was drawn to her, she’s that kind of person.

All I can ask is if you know someone who needs help with blogging to the extent they need this course then point them to Donna. If they need coaching then Sylviane will do them right. I wish both these ladies much success.

You are very welcome and I’m looking forward to reading yours too. Enjoy your travels and have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Adrienne

Your enthusiasm exudes, I can feel it through the words on the page!

I have got to agree with your reply to Reginald about not needing a degree. There are so many college graduates that are flipping burgers today. It may have put one above the rest years ago, but it really doesn’t make up for actual experiences. Getting a degree does not necessarily make someone capable of working on real problems in the real world. Seen that happen too many times of incompetent graduates.

Yes you can get an education online, but do you really need all the other non important classes that are required to get a degree. So I am still taking classes online and I sure don’t need a degree to go along with it as I don’t plan on getting a job somewhere.

You are right about all the information that we were fed about making a living online and they left out the main ingredients to be successful. It was easy for them since they were already established but they forgot to tell us what it takes to get there and probably a few other choice bits of info that were extremely vital to get noticed.

Showcasing two wonderful people and what they do is inspirational.

Wishing you a great Happiness Day today!

Hi Mary,

It’s about time right! Got a really rough start to this year so I’m eager and excited to have things back on track and moving in the direction I need to go.

I agree with you so very much. I know that in the past and we’re talking way back when, having a degree opened doors where not having one certainly didn’t help. You had to know someone to get those doors opened for you back then. Now they look at experience but even if you’re just starting out with no degree they can tell the hard workers from the slackers so you can still do very well if you chose to remain in Corporate America.

That’s one of the reasons I didn’t go to college. A lot of the classes I would have had to take that really weren’t necessary for that particular degree, I had the hardest time with and felt I wouldn’t do well so I didn’t want to waste my parents money. I think a lot of it is just useless.

I know that’s how a lot of people make their money online. They dribble courses and eBooks to you all enticing you into learning from them but you dive in and realize this isn’t all of it. Then they create another course and another one and it just continues with never really being given all the darn pieces. To me that’s just bad business and I don’t intend to run mine that way for sure.

They are fabulous aren’t they! Each in their own right and I wish them both well.

Thank you Mary and Happy “International Happiness Day” and welcome to the first day of Spring. :-)

Hi Adrienne,

Do they let men in B-School? … ;)

Sounds great and Maria Forleo certainly has a handle on things. Funny, I mentioned her as part of Team B, along with James Altucher and AJ Leon in a recent post.

Now, I would include you in that group because you exude passion and that combined with honest writing and actionable info is a certain recipe for success.

My plans are now focused on two fronts. And my new property, which is coming soon is, for lack of a better term, a lifestyle/self-help site … bit it’ll be a lot more. Very, very, very excited about it!

I’ve ran my own service-based business for 18 years, but two+ years into blogging what can I say … it’s finally starting to crystalize and I see a 2-5 year plan that’ll bring big changes. Very excited, but I’m also excited to see what you start to roll out here.

I’m inspired by a crazy mix of bloggers that I keep coming back to for inspiration, actionable advice and a serious kick in the pants.

My mix?

My list is too large, but a few are people like James Altucher, Pat Flynn, Marcus Sheridan and and, um … one Adrienne Smith.

Cheers :)

Hey Craig,

They most definitely do! Only the brave who can put up with all us women venture in but boy do they learn! ;-)

I remember that and she definitely deserves a place in that category. What I admire about her is that she loves people, she loves to help and she’ll go above and beyond to deliver. That’s why she is where she is.

I don’t have it all going on, not quite yet, but as you said I’ve got some of it. I know with Marie’s training though the rest will definitely fall into place and then all I can say is watch out! Oh yeah!

I can’t wait to see the new place Craig. I know you don’t want to release too much until it’s ready but I think it will have it’s own special place here in our little blogging world.

That’s what people have to understand. It doesn’t happen overnight but when you’re using your blog to help grow your business it’s very time consuming but can really pay off. I’m very excited about what my future holds now that I have all that “stuff” behind me now. I’m due, big time!

We all need that crazy mix Craig and I know what you mean. I think they keep us on our toes as well as inspire and educate. I’m honored to be included somewhere in that mix! ;-)

Thanks Craig and we’ll talk soon.

Hey Adrienne! Such a great post! As a former teacher, I’m a full believer in life-long learning.

And, that’s so cool you joined the B-School program!!! I’m a fellow “classmate” — joined B-School last year! I’m definitely getting a lot more out of it this round as I’ve honed in on my business ideas! So glad you’re already getting so much out of it.

Right now, I’m really focused on implementing. I’ve realized I’ve spent a lot of time on researching, brainstorming, learning, reading, etc. and need to ramp up my productivity efforts!

I’m definitely excited and excited for you as well!

Hey Jennifer,

Ah, as a former teacher then you really can relate. Education is what will get us much further in life.

You were a B-School member too! Oh my gosh, I’m loving it and this module is rockin it. So excited about this afternoon too! ;-) Yeah, I joined because I believe I have a few things in place ahead of some others so when I get ready to release my product I want to do it right. I want to market outside of my fabulous community because I believe what I have to share will help so many others. I know that what Marie is sharing is just what I needed.

You’ve got a LOT to share Jennifer so I’m excited for you as well. I know with what she’s going over again you’ll get a lot out of it and move forward. Hey, know I’m here for ya girl since we’re in this together! ;-)

I’m excited for the both of us! Thanks for your comment and enjoy your day, your weekend and this class again.

Hi Adrienne,

I’m glad you’re learning a lot from Marie’s B-School. We definitely need to keep taking courses to stay on top of our Business, and Marketing is just the backbone of our business. Btw, why did she call this B-School? What is B stand for?

Also, another question I have, did you finish the Kristi Hines course? *curious*

Donna and Sylviane are two of my friends. It’s nice to see you help promote their products. Donna’s product sounds like the one I took from PSMJ, I am a permanent member there and tell you honestly, I haven’t finish reading all their PDFs and watching their videos, there is so much to cover. And sounds like Sylviane is pretty busy with 3-different website niches, I will be doing that pretty soon myself. So much to do, so little time. Somehow this sounds like music that has no ending.

I am looking forward to the debut of your eBook. I’m pretty sure this one will be a great success. Since you’ve help a lot of people and a lot of them trust you, there shouldn’t be any problem on marketing this book to the max. I have faith in you.

Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us. Thank you for taking the time engaging with us both blog and email. You are just wonderful and I continue to admire you, my friend. You rock. You are marvelous. You are the BEST.

Hope this weekend is a real blessing to you. xoxo

Hi Angela,

We most definitely do have to stay on top of our training if we want to continue moving in the right direction. I’m SO happy I joined B-School and even though it’s still very early I’m learning a lot. And where did the name come from? I have absolutely no idea…

Yes, I have been through Kristi’s course so are you taking it too?

Glad you’re part of some training that you’ve been learning from. I’m sure as you need to learn you have the means though to go back through their information. I think if you just take one a day and go through it then at least you’ll be able to know what all the stuff is they offer. At the same time, just like B-School, it’s a lot of stuff to go through and we have lessons to learn.

I know that Donna will do well with her course and I have no doubt Sylviane will do well with her coaching as well. You’re going to jump back off into more sites? I wish you the best of luck my friend.

Thank you and I’m excited about this little gem. I think it’s chalked full of goodies and it’s easy to digest but lots of great stuff. We’ll find out soon enough with the way this year is already flying by.

My pleasure all around Angela and I just wish you the very best with everything you have going on right now in your personal and professional life. Rock on my friend.

Hi Adrienne,

Am I taking Kristi’s course too?
I don’t think so. Not at the moment. I can hardly breath on taking too many courses. I’m still taking Rob Cubbon’s courses and have NOT finish them either. Plus, like you said, I need to go thru that PSMJ in one day and just sift through it, read the ones that applies to me…*BAM* will be finished.

Am I going to jump back off into more sites?
Hahaha…I know…I know…we talked about this before. That I don’t need to have multi-niche websites in order to make 6-figures. But the thing though is, I’m not trying to make these *other* niche websites like the one I have on Design & Marketing. I will use the SEO Pressor to target “organic search” on these ones. Put an affiliate product that sells like hotcakes and leave it “as is”. Tim Bonner did that on his, based on just organic search and still cannot figure out how he makes $1500/month on this niche websites without using the social media promotion, and this website doesn’t have an email list either. *shakes head* I’m puzzled. But I wanna try it and experiment it.

So far I have the following websites:
• Health Matters
• Love & Relationship
• Coping with Stress
• Mystique’s Website

Mystique’s website is going to be personal only. I write so much about my german shepherd, I think I better put everything on my blog instead. Besides, you’ll never know I can promote dog products here since I am already passionate on doing this.

I know…I know…seems like I have bizillion things to do. The 4 websites I mentioned I will not rely on comments but “organic search” alone. I have to write a Killer content. Or for all I know…I can always hire a ghostwriter to start these sites going.

Will see,

Sounds like you have your hands full Angela already and yeah, I know a lot of people buy courses and then never go through them all. A lot has to do with time but I also believe that we get overwhelmed with too much stuff. I think that everyone should just purchase a course that will benefit them at that time, go through the entire thing, apply what you’re learned and then move on from there.

I could have sworn that Tim told me he was only making $150 a month on his niche site right not but it could have been a typo. That’s why he was creating more so all I’ll say is that I wish you the best of luck because we all know the kind of work that goes into it all.

You ought to talk to Brenda before putting up that blog about Mystique. She had one about Titan and it became too much for her because it was mostly for pleasure too. I can’t really say but someone who has been there.

A bizillion things is right! Glad it’s you and not me, I have enough to deal with right now.

Good luck!

33 Angela McCall
March 21, 2014 at 4:54 PM

You’re right. That’s why I’m not purchasing anymore courses until I finished Rob’s and PSMJ. This PSMJ is almost like a library reference to me. I go there when I’m looking or answers. They have everything from How to create a blog in Wordress, to How to make money on eBay, to How to write a Business Proposal in Graphic Designs…I haven’t written any business proposals just yet.

I am *TOO BUSY* promoting the traffic on my website. Remember Rob Goss? He used to blog before and now after his business picked up on designing websites, he stopped blogging. I might be like that someday too…right now, prospect clients are coming to me without me promoting website designs. I’m not too busy creating websites right now but when it gets too busy, I’ll prolly back off on blogging too. I hope not and I want to continue no matter what happens.

Anyway, I’m positive it’s a 4-figure and not a 3-figure. Coz he said to me, “After 3-months my niche website makes $300/month.” Then later he said, “I need $35 more to make it into $1000/month earning.” You know that book written by Steve Scott — “Your First $1000″ — that’s what Tim was referring to. He said he just followed everything what Steve said on his book. I’m pretty sure when Steve said “Your First $1000″ creating your niche website is NOT a typo error. So when Tim said he was making $150 to you, I’m sure that is a typo error. He meant $1500.

I asked Brenda about her dog’s website and I forgot what she said about it. I will be updating this website only when I can. It’s not my main priority. I can only try and if it gets too much then, I can always let it go. Will see. 500 words a day on Mystique shouldn’t be too much, should it? I take so much photos, I wanna put it all on her website. This is not something I would wanna do on a regular basis.

Anyway, that’s how Artists are. They never really stick to just one project. I create then paused. Trial and Error. It’s not costing me more $ so why not.

That sounds like a really great reference site Angela so I agree with you, stick with it because it comes in handy.

I know that a lot of people when their businesses start to pick up they back off blogging. Blogging is a way to get eyeballs on you and what you do and offer so when you have enough clients that you’re too busy to blog then of course you should definitely go where the money is. Blogging is a tool to market yourself but when you get to a certain place where your list is big and you’ve got a relationship with them then you really don’t have to continue doing a lot of stuff most of us still really need or want to do.

It must have been, a typo that Tim shared but I don’t really know a lot about his niche site accept what he’s written about. Bravo to him for doing and that’s what I love seeing. Taking something that you’ve been taught, implementing it and then getting the results. That’s why I love sharing what I do as well. It works darn it! All you have to do is implement it.

Just wanted you to know why Brenda quit blogging about Titan before you got into that but if you want then of course, go ahead. As you can probably tell, I’m no artist so I remained focused on what I need to do and I go for it. I know you’ll do well too Angela, I have no doubt girl.

Hi Adrienne

I’ve been concentrating recently on offline stuff although I’ve just set up another niche site as well.

I see setting up those niche blogs as a way to build income to further my main blog and what I plan to do with that.

They’re a means to an end rather than something I want to concentrate on forever.

I haven’t taken any courses recently but I plan to later in the year once I’ve set up a couple more niche sites and they’ve hopefully started to make money.

I’m making about $150 per week at the minute from the niche sites which isn’t big bucks but it’s enough to pay for hosting, email marketing etc.

I do learn a lot from my blogging buddies of course like you, Ashley, Sylviane to name just a few.

So whilst I’m not taking any course at the moment, I’m still learning new things every day.

I’m pretty sure that you learned from someone about putting up those niche sites whether it was through a course or from what people shared on their blogs or personally helped you with. It’s hard to jump into an area when you have no clue what you’re doing. That’s why I love blogging so much because we really can learn a lot because of how generous people are.

There does come a time though when you’re ready to take it to the next level or like me I just feel there is something missing that hasn’t been really explained to me yet and I’m going to find out exactly what it is moving forward so that the release of my product, I’ll know I’ve done everything possible. If it’s a hit, yay for me and we’ll see what’s next in store. If not then I’ll decide what direction I’ll head next.

I’m excited and proud of you Tim, way to go. I have no doubt your sites will begin to gain more and more traction as times goes by and you might have found what you really enjoy doing.

Adrienne, “education” needs to be continuous both professionally and personally. We tend to get super focused on the professional because, in a way, it’s easier. There’s a set finish line, i.e., when you graduate from Marie’s course you’ll have “achieved” a specific goal you set for yourself. (Thank you for the notes!) But what I want to bring to your attention is that you’ve been bravely very open about your setbacks of last year with the passing of your dear friend, and this year, all the problems that you’ve had resolving your blog issues. As I’m sure you know, as hard as it is and as much as we’d rather not have these difficult experiences, we are “educated” and become “more” by plowing through the tough times. You may not realize it, but by your being so transparent in sharing your personal challenges with us readers, we have all been educated and inspired by you to persevere and keep on keepin’ on!

49 Adrienne Smith
March 21, 2014 at 8:46 AM

Hey Sheryl,

You are so right about that Sheryl because I think we’re all a work in progress. As I blindly went through my life before coming online I can honestly look back and see that I was doing a lot of what I learned about through personal development but just wasn’t aware of it at that time. I had no mentors or coaches but I “get it” now.

Even working in corporate America in my profession there were new programs being released, new equipment we had to learn, new ways of doing things so we’re always constantly learning so we can move to that next level. If you’re running your own business then you definitely have to do that for yourself in order to continue to succeed.

I appreciate you saying that Sheryl and I think we all have problems in our lives that occur whether they’re personal or business related. I really didn’t want to feel like I was complaining but you’re right! At the same time I’m only human, I’m by no means perfect and if I can keep on going through all this crap then so can everyone else. It just depends on bad you want this. Life will throw us curve balls unfortunately, it’s how you handle them that counts.

I appreciate you Sheryl, thank you so very much. You enjoy your day and have a fun weekend okay!

March 21, 2014 at 10:09 AM

Hello again, Adrienne!

Our paths seem to be crossing everywhere today. :)

This post brings up a lot for me. I started blogging in 2007 and blogged on and off — not good for developing an audience — until September of last year when I decided to really take things seriously and build a business.

That is the tough part. Obviously, 6 months isn’t enough time to build a full on business, but I find I am impatient. I also find that there’s a steep learning curve between being really good at what I do — that’s writing and helping others write — and conveying that clearly through my blog.

So to your question, am I ahead of things? No, not yet. Am I where I should be? I’m hard on myself, so I’d probably say no, but that may not be the case.

I considered Marie’s B-School this year, but since there are so many other things going on in my life right now, I felt I wouldn’t be able to put the time in it needs. So it’s been fantastic hearing your experiences as you move through the course.

So this comment isn’t particularly focused, but your post brought up a lot of different points for me. It got me thinking.

Hey there Leigh,

They most definitely are aren’t they! Yay!!! Hope you’re having an amazing day too.

I know that blogging and building a business is very time consuming and trust me, never happens overnight to have the type of success that we all desire. I just watched a video again this morning that I posted earlier and their message is that if you’re passionate about something then you’ll do whatever it takes and never give up no matter what people may say regarding what they believe you should be doing. There is a learning curve to everything and we have to step outside our comfort zones a LOT! I know though that you love what you do so just know that you’re on the right path and be patient because it will all follow through the way it should.

Guess what! I’m not where I want or should be either but the thing is that I believe we’re both headed in the right direction. We’ll both get to that end goal which is knowing that we’re having success helping others. I know that I love what I do and I am helping a lot of people, I just want to help more. ;-)

The good thing about B-School is that you have lifetime access so even though I go through the course with them, I can continue going through it again and again whenever I want. But being on the calls and in the group is so very helpful so I can understand wanting to wait. Trust me, it’s SO worth it. My notes and what I can share doesn’t even compare to everything we’re learning. I love sharing though.

Well I appreciate your comment Leigh and you just keep on doing what you’re doing girl. You rock!

Ok, I’ll admit it. I do need help with the making money blogging thing. I have resisted going with anyone because I just didn’t know who would be a good place for me to put my time and money. Because of my background, I am the ultimate sceptic. I also realized I needed a product and content to springboard from, so that’s what I’ve been concentrating on. That said, I’m now at a point where I need to move to the next level. Your recommendations are REALLY helpful. I’ll be checking each and everyone one of them out, Especially Donna because she is also a friend and she rocks.

Hey Susan,

I don’t blame you because I was talking on the phone yesterday to a friend I met through blogging and we were talking about the types of courses I’ve bought into and how many of them I’ve been so disappointed with. Just because some of them are expensive doesn’t mean that they were that great. I have been very disappointed. That’s why I made a promise to myself that I will never support any product, service or person that I can’t stand 100% behind.

Donna’s course will really help you with a lot of the basic blogging hurdles that you run into or things that you may need to be doing as far as marketing. I know she’s out of town at the moment but will be back around so you can always talk to her before moving forward and decide if what she has can help you.

If you have any blocks whatsoever than Sylviane is very good at helping with that. She just has a way of bringing things out in us that I know myself I never even thought about. Why would I right! Had I known or realized that I might have been able to go this way on my own but I’m so glad she chose me as her test client. It was a great experience.

I know that moving forward with the direction you want to go, you’ll do great Susan. The good thing is that you are NOT alone here. I know that Donna will help you too.

Have a great weekend Susan and thanks for your comment.

Hey Adrienne,

You know the B-School sounds like a real cool, hip joint for all of us bloggers to be at! You know look forward to seeing the changes about to come and I know it will be some positive changes since I consider you a successful blogger already.

If we want to keep moving forward we definitely need to keep educating ourselves. We are in constant growth and we definitely need to keep up with the changes being made with marketing online.

As you know I’ve read David Amerland’s book on Google Semantics and now I’m reading “Jab, Jab, Jab Right Hook” by Gary Vaynerchuk which is about marketing on social media. I have to tell you that it’s pretty hard for me to put the book down mainly because I’m on social media everyday. I highly recommend this book to anyone that uses social media to promote their businesses.

Donna and Sylviane are definitely two great people that needs to be recognized. I am very proud of their accomplishments and I can actually say that I know them LOL… They are bound for celebrity status as far as blogging ;)

Thanks for share and I hope you have a fantastic weekend?

Hey Sherman.

B-School is a very cool place to be and actually it’s a lot of various people going through this. A lot of them aren’t bloggers but I have a feeling that she’ll be addressing that part of it in the next module. I know for me I’m learning a lot and we just really started.

Marie recommended Gary’s book too just this week and he’s a good friend of hers as well. I don’t doubt that it’s good of course and it’s on my agenda of books to get. I’m going through one right now about our strengths and it’s very interesting Sherman.

Thank you and I’m sure they both really appreciate you saying that Sherman. I know they’ll both do really well with the direction they’re going with their respective businesses, that I don’t doubt at all.

I so appreciate your comment Sherman and it’s always good to hear from you. You take care and hope you have a very enjoyable weekend.

Adrienne, you’ll have to let us all know how B-School goes for you. I love that woman; I watch her videos all the time. I don’t have the time for anything like B-School at this juncture but if I did I might think about looking into it. Marketing overall is an issue for me, as we’ve talked about in the past; I know how to do it but don’t have the stomach for it.

As far as staying ahead of everyone else… I just keep writing! ;-)

Hey Mitch,

I’ll be able to share some of what I learn I’m sure as the program continues with my readers. It’s an exceptional program Mitch and it’s about building a business. I mean even for your speaking engagements if that’s the direction you’d like to go she just basically will share with you from the beginning how to make that happen and get you in front of the right people. It’s still very early in the program but I’m already learning a lot. I just wish I could stop everything else and just concentrate on that but I have to weed that in between everything else.

Hi Adrienne

I can really see you are loving the course with Marie and I am sure we are going to hear a lot of tips from you.

I seem to be continually learning. I am about to immerse myself in an new course by Vick Stizheus and there are a serious number of modules in it. I need to balance my learning with more doing. As you know I have a different focus than many other bloggers here. I never really set out to be a blogger just to have a blog to build my then network marketing company.

Excellent to see both Donna and Sylviane here and of course I totally support them and what they are doing.

I am rethinking how I build my business right now but that is okay. It is about growing, evolving and making adjustments along the way.

Good to see you on fire Adrienne.

Hey Sue,

I really am enjoying this course because I’m learning a lot already and we’re not even into the module that I’m even more excited about.

Glad you’re enjoying this as well Sue and I know you started your blog for a different reason. The main purpose of your blog though is to make those connections and build your list so no matter what you’re promoting they’ll be eager to get what you have.

I had to put in a good word for my girls now. I’m so very proud of them both.

I bet I can help you with that Sue from what I’m learning from Marie. If you want to chat, let me know okay!

Thank you for your comment and you have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Hope you enjoyed parts of your weekend and sounds like you did with that swim. We definitely deserve some breaks!

You have a great new week okay and I’ll enjoy my day either way.

Hi Adrienne,

As usual, I find it refreshing reading the comments on each post you make. This type of interaction can’t be bought. Genuine readers and responses remind me every time why I always visit your blog for new updates.

Happy to hear you’re enjoying B-school. Would like to know how it goes!

It’s funny, I just came from Sylviane’s blog today and learned about Donna (and David) from her. I’ve been a fan of Slyviane for quite some time now, and Donna’s Blogging Magic is something I would definitely recommend to bloggers new or old.

Right now, I’m in the middle of learning a bit more about the art niche. I’m a copywriter at heart, but I’m trying to put up an art focused stream of income. It’s never too late to learn new things! We’ll see how that goes.

All the best,

Hey Micah,

Thank you for saying that and I do have the best blogging community online I think. It’s like old home week here when they stop by. We love to share and learn from each other Micah so a lot of that happens in the comment section too.

I am really enjoying B-School and as it continues I’ll be sharing some of what I’ve learned. It will definitely benefit us all.

Glad you already know Sylviane and she did just write about Donna and David too. I support them all.

I don’t doubt that you’ll be able to incorporate your love for art into what you love to do online. Where there is a will there is a way.

Thank you again Micah for your comment and you enjoy your weekend.

I’m wishing you all the best for your product and its launch. If it’s anything like you it’ll be a winner.

Thanks for introducing me to your friends here. By your examples here you show that choosing a course is important because you need to choose the right course, not just to suit you, but so that you can get the outcome you want. And the best, most valuable lesson you teach is how to create an engaged audience. Not only that, you’ve created a community that includes every one of your readers. Cheers for that!

Awwwwwww, thank you so much Tom. You just made my day my friend! Seriously! :-)

I’m really excited about the direction that I’m headed this year. It’s been a bumpy road but everything is looking up now. I appreciate your confidence in me Tom and I definitely hope that’s the case.

You are so welcome and if you need any of those services you can’t go wrong with either of them. I do stand behind them both and know that they’ll treat you right and go above and beyond. That’s how we should be doing business online. I know for me that when I want to learn something I’ll find the right course I believe will help me and then I’ll only concentrate on that particular one until I’m done. Doing too many things at one time never works.

I’m still eager to see you blogging Tom so you know I’m here for you. Just give me a shout and I’m on it! ;-)

Hi Adrienne,

Once again, an excellent and thought provoking post dear :) We can’t really grow without learning. Can we?

It’s really nice you are learning to stay ahead when you unveil your product, and I can sense something BIG to bloom. Hopefully, we can learn through your experience too. Can you believe the struggles you have been through past months, Adrienne? AND here you are, my friend :)

You have always been a role model for many bloggers including me and so grateful on intending the best for us dear :) This post is another evidence! Sometimes you never know how you inspire others through your magical words.

I’m so thrilled that Donna introduced her brand new product, and Sylviane made the milestone of being a Certified Professional Coach too :) That’s really awesome! Plus, that’s very kind of you to spread the love for ‘em here.

As I read through your working experiences, you are really giving me a thought about my life too dear. I can’t agree more with you about the freedom of working from home, and so grateful I’ve got a work from home career so early. But in this part of the World, 9 – 5 jobs with promotions, designations and pensions are demanded the most. Entrepreneurs are still underrated as they are on their own. Hence a working from home graduate is a person ignoring his potential for ‘em. Who cares? ;)

I wanted this life and livin’ it. So I can take care of freelancing and blogging too :) Else I wouldn’t have made this far.

Talking about the education, I’m into Web / Mobile development and related projects since last year intending to strengthen and add more skills dear. Lot of new stuff to learn throughout this year and been practicing through trial and error. Ugh… One bug can steal an entire day ;) Glad I decided to limit myself on blogging and some other activities before things start to smother me.

So, we are moving forward in our own ways! Wishing all the best for your upcoming product dear :)

You have a fabulous weekend, Adrienne!

Hey Mr. Busy Bee!

Thank you for that, I appreciate it. You do know how to make a girl feel good don’t you! ;-)

I’m doing my best to learn from the best so that when I release my product I will know that I’ve done everything that I’m suppose to. The results will be left to how well I applied everything and will help me decide where to go next. It has been a rough 15 months for me if I’m totally honest but they always say there is a storm before the waters are calm. My storm is behind me so it’s time for some smooth sailing.

I love my girls and I’m so proud of them both. Donna and David have really gone above and beyond to create the best product for bloggers and Sylviane was born to be a coach I believe. She’s lived through enough to have learned so many lessons which is why she’s so good at what she does.

I know that most people don’t have the entrepreneurial spirit, I never did. I never saw this for myself but the great thing is that when we see that we want more we should go for it. It’s scary and it’s a huge leap outside our comfort zones but you cannot depend on corporate America being a solid foundation for your future. I always thought I would get with a company and retire but that just never happened. It’s not like it use to be so I’m go glad you found that within you early enough and are making your own way Mayura.

Sounds like you’re definitely headed in the right direction. I have no doubt whatever you work on is a success. I know so many that have hired you to help them they’ve been so very satisfied Mayura so your reputation online is top notch my friend. I know that when building a business that our blogs are how we can build relationships so we can get them on our list and then hope they turn into clients. At the same time making money should be our number one focus so if blogging has to take a back seat then so be it.

We are both moving forward and may this year be ours! Thank you so very much Mayura and you have a wonderful weekend okay!

March 23, 2014 at 2:29 AM

Hi Adrienne, oh yes, learning something new everyday is commonplace when you are working online. I can’t tell you how many things I’ve learned over the past few years. I can’t wait to see what you will learn about doing your eBook. That was a big learning curve for me last year and I hope to do an updated one by mid-year this year. I’m not sure if I will stick with Smashwords again or not. There was a lot of technical stuff to learn in producing the book too for me anyways.
I love learning new things but my learning this year slowed down with offline things going on. I do hope to catch up. It sure isn’t easy as things change so quickly today.
I have always wondered about a life coach, you see so many online but I’d like to go with one I know and hear good things from others about. I didn’t realize Sylviane was doing that too.
I want to learn more about LinkedIn and hope to share some of it in future blog posts. I usually do use my learning for posts too along the way.
I hope you have a having a great weekend and enjoy your time with family.

Hey Lisa,

Writing the book is easy but now deciding how I’m going to go about promoting it meaning will I just do it along, put it somewhere so I’ll have affiliates helping me or go some route like Amazon. I just haven’t made up my mind yet, one step at a time I guess. Good to know you had technical stuff with Smashwords, that technical freaked me out last year which is why I didn’t get started really.

I love learning as well and like the issues you’ve been dealing with offline I had some of my own which really put me about a year behind where I wanted to be. But we can’t help those things at times Lisa and we have to deal with what we’re given. I know you still have a lot on your plate this year so just take it as it comes.

I want to say that it was about four years ago now that I worked with a Spiritual Life Coach and it honestly was the best money I’ve ever spent. She was expensive back then and is way more now of course but she helped me realize some things that I didn’t know was really going on with me. That’s what they are so good with. Just being Sylviane’s test client was pretty cool and I think moving in the direction I am now I still have things that bother me so she helped me with that and I’m so glad she asked me. She’ll give you a free 30 minutes consultation so just talk to her and see if she’s someone you’d like to consider. I think everyone needs something like that at different times in their lives.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who would like to learn more about how LinkedIn can help them. I don’t doubt you’ll do great with that so happy learning. :-)

Thank you Lisa and yesterday was really good. Thomas’s birthday is the 11th so we’re going to drive to Galveston and have lunch with him on the 13th when he’s in port. So we’ll get to see him in another couple of weeks. Then Mom and I are going to go to San Marcos and visit my niece for a couple days this next month because she’ll be moving home in May. We’ve been up there twice now but she’d like to take us around one more time before the permanent move. That will be fun so it will be a good month next month.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend too and you have a great day today okay! Thinking of you girl!

Hii Adrienne, I’ve recently started my own blog to start using the experience I gained while working as freelance blog writer and manager.

I’m aware of this secret that to accomplish new heights we need to have a habit of reading a lot and that too on the daily basis.

I’ll look forward at the B-course you described here but I will join them later when I’ll have my own money. :) Thanks :)

Hi Pawan,

Well welcome to blogging and so happy that you stopped by and shared that with me. I love blogging and I’m sure that your readers will really pick up a lot of information from you about what you’ve been doing as well.

Thank you and I know that learning is how we grow and become better so I just prefer recommending those that I trust and know will treat you right. My heart especially goes out to the newbies who probably are very overwhelmed but the whole thing.

There is so much education out there so it depends on what you’re wanting to achieve as to what type of course or money you should invest. I know you’ll find what’s right for you as time goes by.

Thank you for your comment Pawan and hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend.

Hii Adrienne, weekend was good as always. :)

I’ve already done with my engineering degree in computer field but it didn’t helped me fetch money I thought of. This was the reason I started learning blogging and related stuff.

I’m still not done with the education but now I’ll invest my money into some really deserving one.

79 Adrienne Smith
March 24, 2014 at 8:28 AM

Glad to hear that Pawan!

Wow, congratulations on getting your degree! So have you just not been able to find a job in your field that will pay you what you’re worth? I think that’s a big issue I see around which is why it’s so sad to spend all that time and money to get a degree and then have to be bumped back down at the beginners level below the pay scale. It’s disheartening. I hope that what you find online will greatly benefit you. I for one know it’s possible.

Hang in there okay! It will all work itself out the way it should. Enjoy your week.

80 Pawan Kumar Kukarwal March 25, 2014 at 3:51 AM

Yeah, I was feeling very low when I completed the degree but wasn’t having any reputed job. Online marketing almost saved me but there are many of my friends who still wonder what to do now. They did degree to get job and now they need to do something else to get the job. Bitter truth. :(

You’re absolutely right about making education a priority. Why repeat the mistakes others have made? Learning from those who have gone before you can make your path to success much smoother.

Both Donna and Sylviane are amazing. People who want to run an online business or blog for profit would be well served to learn from them!

Hi Adrienne,

I’m so late to respond because of my step-daughter’s wedding last week. We had to take the entire week off. But here I am saying a big Thank You for mentioning me in this post. I also want to shout out Congratulations to Sylvianne!

As for you my friend, you need to have a course in order to build a product. We had hired a trainer to do so. It is not easy, but sure is fun! Then all the other stuff that goes with it…that marketing sales funnel, affiliate links, FB Pages, and of course ongoing training on our “Whirlwind Success” VIP club whereby every time we do a webinar, those folks who sign in get it free. Plus it is a continuing learning place.

Technology….We can’t do everything, and we were stuck with JVZoo and Get Response. That took almost a month for all that stuff….you went through too with no one competent to help. So in came Kumar who fixed it for us in ten minutes lol.

It is long road and a constant learning curve. There are so many aspects when you take that leap, do your product and then stand behind it. We are having a blast helping folks already on our one to one calls. There is nothing better than to be a part of someone’s enthusiasm as they learn.

Thank you again!

It depends on what your product is Donna but I’m glad you and David were able to get this one put together. I know it’s a lot of work which is why I bailed the first time around. Just going a different direction that’s all. I think this is a smart move though and I know you have so much to offer others.

It’s horrible when you’re doing this alone and not sure who you can turn too. I know the feeling but I’m so glad Kumar knew and was able to get you over that hump.

I’m so glad to hear that and I’m not surprised at all that this is what you love doing. I know that’s why you created this because of all the people you can help. I wish you the very best my friend.

Thank you for your comment and enjoy your week.

Hi Adrienne,

Really great post here and it’s good to see that you’re taking your product creation very seriously by actually taking time to learn (fully) about marketing and things like that. I’m doing the same thing right now but when I first started last year, I was gun-ho about getting JV and affiliate deals and it just blew up in my face … because I did it completely wrong.

But I’ve learned from that and I’m well on my way.

I heard about Marie’s B school through Derek Halpern one day and was very impressed but I haven’t had the opportunity to actually sign up … but I’m on the list to let me know when it’s opening up again.

Seriously congrats on the course and on your Info Product, I can’t wait to hear more about it.

Have a great week.

Hi Andrew,

I’m tired of lingering in a certain place and not getting over that “hump” so to speak. It’s like when you’re headed in a certain direction and then hit a wall. You know you’re doing things right but also know there is more to it but not exactly sure what that is. That’s why I joined B-School to learn it all. I want the release of my product to be done right the first time around so if it isn’t a success I have no one to blame but me.

I’m sorry you had issues with the JV and affiliate stuff but I’m not going to obsess over that either. We do live and learn though don’t we Andrew!

I think that anyone who is serious with learning how to grow a successful business online should join B-School. Of course it only opens once a year but what I love about it is that it’s a lifetime membership so as things change and she updates the information we have access to it years down the road. I wish more courses did that.

Thank you so much and I’m really excited about this year. It’s still been a little hectic but I’m headed in the right direction so I’m excited.

Thank you Andrew and you enjoy your week as well.

You’re so right Adrienne, we have to keep learning otherwise it’s a disservice to our readers if we stay where we’re at.

These two ladies are definitely something special. They both have helped me become more confident about myself and where I’m going with this “blogging thing”. :)

I have to say I keep learning from the likes of you and a list of other bloggers. Whenever I learn about a product or a plugin or anything new that comes out I always wait and see what you all have to say about it.

I can’t wait for your product to come out. That is going to be gold for new bloggers and seasoned ones too :).

Sounds like you’re really getting something out of your B-School. Sounds like something I should check out too.

I know you had a rough ending to 2013 and 2014 didn’t start with the bang you probably anticipated. But it looks to me like things are starting to turn around for ya girl. So glad!

Have a great night Adrienne! Sorry it took so long for me to get here. My daughter is due any day and she’s staying with us. I was not this demanding when I was preggers, LOL.

I’m off to read your other post!

Hey Cori,

You’re right my friend, if we want to continue to move forward from where we are then we have to continue learning. Sometimes we’re able to do that just through reading blogs like mine but then there are times we need that extra something. That’s where courses or coaching comes in like what me, Donna and Sylviane do. I’m glad you continue to learn here as well Cori, that makes me very happy.

I’m eager for it all to finally launch myself but I’m just making sure I do things right. That way I’ll know that I did everything possible and then hopefully be able to share all the steps I took as well. ;-)

B-School is fabulous so far and we’re now half way through. There is so much to absorb and so far not much time to implement but next week will be our break so I’m hoping to do some of that at that time.

As they say, there is always a storm before the calm so I’m hoping my storm has passed and that won’t be happening again for a very long time. Smooth sailing is fine for awhile but there will always be things happening. I’m just hoping that I do have some smooth waters for awhile now. Thank you my friend.

You must be so excited about the baby coming and I know she’s glad she’s there with you. I do believe that blogging would take a back seat to that. Best of luck to you both and I’m excited for you.

Thank you Cori and enjoy your day.

Thanks so much for sharing your news! You alluded to it earlier and I’ve been real excited. I can’t wait and I know your ebook is going to be wonderful!! You are like a sponge just soaking up all this great information about blogging and all of the facets associated with running a website. It is such a benefit to others (me.. lol) to be able to glean something from what you learn.

You know that I love education. When my health kept me from the full time classroom, it was hard. I am curious about so much and love to see that same curiosity in my students. Your love for learning – and encouraging us to learn more – always brings a smile to my face. Honestly, I smile the whole time I read and comment on your blog. You make it all sound so do-able. Thank you eversomuch, xo Karen:)

Ah, thanks so much Karen and everything is doable my friend. I think when you just have the right information to help you along then that’s when things start to fall into place and you realize that it is very doable. Well you know I’m always here for you if you need any help so don’t be bashful! ;-)

Take good care of yourself now.

Hi Adrienne,

Don’t know how you do it!
I mean answer every comment and still find the time to write
posts and go to coaching class.

Just so many hours in a day!

Love your emails lately. Have made an effort to find them
in that overloaded box I have. Lately just allow myself so much
time to read and delete then leave.

Appreciate so much that you share what you are receiving as much as you
feel you are able to without giving away your coach’s secrets.

With the volume of comments, you may get to the point that you
only comment on a certain number each time. I know Harleena said she has
to limit her replies on Facebook because of the time…

Hi Carolyn,

I love what I do and I live alone. There ya go, question answered. ;-)

I think a lot of people go into overwhelm Carolyn. They have too much on their plate, they don’t know how to schedule their time and they find they’re going in circles. I love that I’m annoyingly organized, always have been. I got that from my Mom thank goodness and living alone benefits me for what I do too. Sure, I don’t want to stay on this computer all day and all night and for the most part I’ve been really good about walking away at a decent hour some nights. But it’s not work for me and I enjoy helping others so much that the day just flies by.

Thank you and it was hard to not give it all away but just tried to put it in my own words of what I’m taking away from this so that it can help you even if it’s in some small way. I think you’ll definitely benefit from them.

I’m sure I’ll get to that point eventually but for now I’m not there. Harleena thanks people that have liked her stuff so she goes way over what I do. I appreciate people liking it but I personally think that’s a little much.

Thank you Carolyn for your comment and hope you’re doing well. Have a really great rest of your week okay!
