I want to be sure and wish everyone a very Happy Valentine’s Day before I do anything else!
I hope everyone is able to spend it with the one you love doing whatever it is you both enjoy.
Perhaps you’re like me and you don’t have a special “someone” but that doesn’t matter. As long as it’s spent with a loved one then that’s what’s important. I’ll be spending mine with Kayla (my dog) and my Mom.
It’s not often that an occasion like this falls on the day that I publish a post so I started thinking what I could share with you that you would consider a gift from me.
Then it hit me during the middle of the night. The most inconvenient time when I’m so tired I’m not getting up to write any of this stuff down. But I just asked the big man upstairs to help me remember what I wanted to say and here it is. Yay!!!
Where It All Begins
A lot of people I speak with online are still having issues with where they are. It’s either the confusion or overwhelm of putting all of the pieces together so that you can finally understand how to move forward in their business or it’s not seeing the results they had hoped for and the frustration is heavily on their minds.
I want to take you back to the beginning as I see it and discuss a topic that everyone is already aware of but still might not completely grasp.
That’s your belief system.
Okay guys, please just bare with me. I promise, you might accidentally have an aha moment without even realizing you needed one. Gosh, I love those.
If you study the law of attraction then I know you’re familiar with the fact that you have to totally 100% believe that you can get what you want.
I’m not saying it’s easy because it took me a number of years to fully grasp this myself. Now in the offline world there are some things about me that I have super confidence in and that doesn’t waver at all.
When I came online to a world that was totally unknown to me, the information was so over my head, I had no one to ask, I continued to absorb so much information that I was more confused then when I started, I wasn’t getting anywhere and the doubt started to creep in.
I know you’ve been there, it’s pretty safe to say that we probably all have at one point.
This is what sets us apart from the rest though.
We’re still here… We believe this is where we’re suppose to be and we refuse to give up.
My Own Experience
Just so we have this straight, I’m not a life coach nor am I an “expert” in this area. I’m able to share this with you because of my own experience. Isn’t that what a lot of us are really after? Someone who has been where we are and want to know what they did to get past that!
As I mentioned above, it’s no easy task and I’m not even going to pretend that it is.
Here is the bottom line that you have to grasp first.
How bad do you want this?
I mean we can all “say” we want to make money online or we “want” to build a business that brings us a full income. Saying it is one thing, doing it is another.
You can put the blame on others or circumstances but the bottom line is that there are just some people who are all talk and no action. I love to help people but I finally learned how to only attract the people who want to help themselves. All the rest of them are what I call energy devils.
If you really wanted what you said you did then you would move mountains to get there. You would not have an issue believing in yourself because if you truly understood how that works you “know” that the rest will fall into place.
I should have given up a l-o-n-g time ago but I didn’t because I believed this was where I was suppose to be. I still didn’t know what the heck I was doing but I knew the answers would eventually come. You have to continue to believe in yourself.
So How Does That Work
Most of you who are regular readers of my blog know that I’m a Christian and I believe in God and darn proud of it.
So for the purpose of this post, whoever you believe is your “higher power” then let’s just stick with that term and keep going.
There is a higher power bigger then you running this show whether you like it or not.
Everyone was born on this earth the exact same way. You are a child of the higher power, you are special, you are unique, you are one of a kind.
The reason we grow up believing what we do is because of what has been ingrained in us through childhood. We all had parents, or some type of parental figures, and they believed what they believed and instilled that into us.
It doesn’t matter what kind of childhood you’ve had, it doesn’t matter the horrible things you may or may not have been through, it doesn’t matter what things your parental figures taught you. What matters is that you are your own person.
You make the decisions about your life, no one else. You have a brain, use it!
Remember you are special, you are unique and you are definitely one of a kind.
From this day forward, know that with every ounce of your being. Believe it because it’s the only truth there is!
No more excuses.
Either you want what you want and are willing to do what it takes or you would prefer to stay in the victim mode and continue to rehash all those terrible things that has gotten in your way.
It’s over, it’s done and it’s in the past. You are in the present moment so concentrate on the now.
I’m speaking to those who know without a doubt they are 100% in control of their lives and just do not believe enough in themselves to make this work. If you have some type of medical condition holding you back, please know I’m not belittling your condition at all. We have professionals for that so I hope you’re seeking help.
You need to do whatever it takes to break through those barriers. You are NOT the only person on this earth who has had obstacles to face, bad circumstances to overcome or problems to solve.
You are special, you are unique and you are definitely one of a kind. I’m going to harp this into your head until you believe it too.
Once you believe without a doubt that you can have what you desire, the doors will start opening for you. You’ll start meeting the right people, you’ll be introduced to the right opportunities, you’ll find the support you’ve been wanting because that’s how it works.
Stop worrying about the “how” and just “know” it will happen…
That my friends is my gift to you.
Any Aha Moments
I’m pretty sure the majority of you already know this but my goodness, there are a lot of newbies still coming online and to my blog that this message today might help.
You know me, if I can help just one person then it was worth it.
So if you care to, please be sure to share with me if you’ve ever felt like this and hopefully have overcome this and learned what it takes to move forward. Love it if you’d share this with your friends too.
Do you believe?
I look forward to hearing what you have to say and once again, Happy Valentine’s Day! Rock on my wonderful blogging friends.

Ok Adrienne, We chatted on and on by phone the other day and NEVER got onto this topic – and how could that be? It’s my favorite topic in the world.
Since you started the woo-woo ball rolling, I will continue by sharing (my opinion of course): A belief is really just a thought we keep thinking! The more we think it, the realer it feels.
So If I think people don’t get me, or my message is a clinker, I will begin to believe it. Think about it, it’s just gonna feel real to me after I’ve thought it long enough…
YES I have wondered if I am doing alright as a newbie. Are my numbers good? Am I reaching the right crowd? That kind of stuff…
Getting a reality check on that is important!
It’s in allowing myself to be vulnerable with my friends online like you (and several new friends I’ve met from commenting here) that I have someone to check it all out with. Those reality checks are valuable.
I am sending you some virtual chocolates today – and a lot of love.

Hey Robin,
Oh my gosh, we left something out! lol.. That’s too funny girl because it’s my favorite topic too.
Well that’s definitely the definition of a belief and an easy one too. Who can’t grasp that right!
I think really Robin that’s why this isn’t any easy task to grasp. Just like those questions you had in your head, we all have them. I mean we venture into foreign territory right so of course we’re going to question ourselves. But we have to believe enough for where we’re headed, what we’re doing and know this is where we belong and then the doors will start opening. And that’s like meeting people like me, having those people available to answer questions so the light bulbs are coming on or finding the right program that was just what you needed.
Once you truly believe in where you are and what you’re doing the rest will slowly fall into place. It’s truly amazing how this really works but it’s a process right! I’m so glad you shared that with me, thank you so much. I’m smiling from ear to ear this morning.
Oh, thank you so much for those virtual chocolates. They are welcomed and appreciated. ♥
Happy Valentine’s Day Robin!!! Sending love your way girl.

Adrienne!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Man o man did I need that today. Don’t get me wrong, my day started at 6 am and has been awesome! I know it’ll only get better cus my honey won’t tell me what we’re doing tonight…I’m excited!
but lately, I’ve been feeling cornered. I felt my resolve too tested for my comfort and dare I say it…I began letting doubt and frustration in. I’ve saying I don’t know how some things will come together but you know what, they simply have to. And therefore they will.
I believe in God too, and I hear people feel (and I have felt) ashamed for not trusting when what is seen feels overwhelming. That can guilt us into not asking for the help. not telling the universe what we want, that we’ll get it and that we’re worth it. Working hard isn’t enough.
That unshakable belief in self and faith to KNOW beyond wondering about how, is what makes great things happen outta nowhere.
So thank you for the loving kick in the tuckuss. I needed that.
What are you, mom, and kayla doing this V-Day/

Hey Mys and Happy Valentine’s Day to you too my friend!
Oh, I bet your honey is going to do something so special for you. That’s so sweet and I’m so thrilled for you. Can’t wait to find out the scoop tomorrow.
We all do that Mys, sometimes it’s just hard to stay on the straight path. I mean I think this is part of the process but you KNOW you’re headed in the right direction so start thanking him for what he’s brought you and the doors will begin to open.
Oh that’s a shame, I don’t think I’ve gone there yet. I’ve been asking for help for so long it’s second nature to me now. lol… But seriously, I have to rely on him to open those doors for me and I know they are. Maybe not on my time table but this is where I’ve learned more about patience.
You have to have that unshakable belief in yourself even if you don’t know everything. I use to get so mad at those people that told me “stop worrying about the how”. Well then how is it suppose to happen because I haven’t the faintest clue. And you know what? I just hadn’t learned everything I needed in order to understand what the next step was so once I did the how was apparent. Dah!
You are so very welcome and you go get em girl!
I have faith in you Mys! Don’t you ever forget that either.
Now have the best day ever.

Wow Adrienne,
That was the PEP talks of all pep talks.
You are so right about needing to believe in yourself and although I didn’t know what law of attraction was “in name” i think on some level I do believe in it.
And if you are a newbie reading this comment. Adrienne helps me all the time. i don’t consider myself a newbie but she will unearth true gems of information, short cuts and explain concepts that i had heard about but just didn’t understand. If she can do that for me, she’ll blow your socks off into the next bedroom.. No JOKE!!!!!

Hey Annie,
Yeah, I think my heart just breaks for some people Annie who still seem stuck. They don’t quite grasp how this all works and I can sympathize with them because I’ve been there. But once you have those breakthroughs the world just opens up for you and I’m sure I do not have to tell you this.
I didn’t understand the law of attraction either six years ago but I was applying it everyday. I looked back and opening knew the things I had attracted into my life because girl, I believed I would. Oh yeah, I knew it without a doubt and sure enough – bam! It’s just awesome.
Ah, thank you so much. You’re so sweet and I appreciate that. Aren’t we glad we’re so past the newbie stages now. I would hate to go back.
I appreciate you Annie and Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥ Sending the love your way!

Hi Adrienne,
I had very humble beginnings as far as my self beliefs/self confidence go and it all started because I was the victim of buillies for years. This affected pretty much the rest of my life until I said, enough with this sh**t! I’ve got to look for help and get out of this victim mentality.
That’s how I got interested in personal development. Yes, personal development changed my life to the point that I fell totally in love with it, and after a few years of studying this stuff I started to notice that I was able to help people. That’s why I decided to build up a coaching business.
Now, I feel a lot of inspiration lot of higher force motivating me and telling me what to do. I still have some work to do, because I’m still paying on past mistakes a this time still, but I am on my way up there.
I know what I can do, I know who I am, I am getting to know me better and better each and everday still, and most of all, I want to help people to put on a wealthy mentality. I want them to know how abundant they are and how they can change their lives.
Thank you for this great gift post, Adrienne!

Happy Valentine’s Day Sylviane!
It takes a strong person to do that and move past all of that because we aren’t our past. You may have been bullied but you’ve taken that experience and it’s made you a stronger person because of it. You refused to be the victim and I wish everyone would grasp that they aren’t the victim anymore.
What you share about personal development on your blog Sylviane I can’t praise enough. You explain it so well that how can people not understand how this works. I’m so glad that you’re not only writing about it but have moved into the coaching part of it too because like me, there are just some people who need that extra attention so that they can fully understand the areas they need to work on.
I’m so thrilled for you and we are all a work in progress, probably always will be. But you grasp how this works and you apply it everyday which is why those doors continue to open and show you the way.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me today and you know I’m your biggest fan!

Hello Adrienne great post and very well presented.
I think with most people they think success comes over might, not true.
Like this article states it take time to build any business even on line.
Don’t make your primary focus just do what you love and the rest will come.
I started a few years ago with no intentions of earning any revenue and it just happen and I welcomed it.
So give your self credit and don’t let anything hold you back.

Hi Rob,

Well I know that there are a lot of people that come online because they “have” to make some money. I had lost my job so there was no playing around but like I stated, this was so overwhelming to me and I had that lack mindset going on too. I mean I had money but I knew it would run out so I had to make money. We move into this totally the wrong way instead of just believing it will happen and then letting things progress as they should.
Easier said then done but a great lesson for us all.

Yes I can understand in cases like yours how overwhelming that might be. But I see more people getting the wrong idea about earning extra cash online, It will not happen when you want it to happen, things have to be right and you have to have the product that will allow you to start your own online business, and when I say product that includes knowledge.

Good Morning Adrienne and Happy Valentine to you as well.
Someone in the comment area wrote about a pep talk. I love it. Our beliefs have to change about ourself. If we have a “victim mentality” that will become our “reality”. As I have previously shared with you, I too WAS a victim of bullying. But through my years of maturing I discovered that the past will never define who I AM. As you know this online business is very new to me, but I am confident that I will succeed in it. I have to believe it, and put faith to work for me, by a plan of action. I love your articles because they are inspirational and wow do they motivate others.
Thanks a million for who you are.

Good morning Gladys and Happy Valentine’s Day my friend!
Yeah, I was kind of thinking this was more along the lines of what I was doing today but you know sometimes we just have to be reminded that we’re on the right path. Nothing happens overnight so just because you aren’t seeing results this very moment doesn’t mean they aren’t coming.
You are another example to not live in your past. It doesn’t define who you are because you can be anyone you want. You have to have enough faith in yourself and however you need to accomplish that then just do it. No more talking right Gladys!
You will succeed young lady and this is a learning experience but as I tell everyone. If I can do this then anyone can. Trust me on this one.

Happy Valentines Day Adrienne!
Isn’t it funny that we can really believe something and make it come true? There are so many visionaries out there, past and present, that believed something so strongly that they changed the world! And we all benefit from their beliefs (and action on those beliefs).
That is why it is so important to believe in yourself. Because when you do others will see it and be inspired. Inspiring people is a great feeling and gift.

I use to have those thoughts in my head that no one will want to listen to me. I’m no one compared to all the great people in this world. But everyone was born into this world the exact same way and a lot of them had a horrible upbringing. But what they didn’t steer away from was their strong belief in something and they held steady to that. Mountains will be moved with you believe which is why you can look at some of those people’s backgrounds and wonder the same thing.
We are all someone and we can all do great things. We just have to hold that faith.

Thanks Adrienne for the reminder to believe it and you will receive it! That’s all it boils down to. The problem is we have to be in that mindset to believe and receive it. So many things get in a person’s way … sometimes called life
so as entrepreneurs we definitely have to believe no matter what. I had a few aha moments over the past couple of months but it’s good to be reminded! Thanks again.

Hi Adrienne
Happy Valentine’s Day to you, your Mom and your sweet dog!
Belief is what has kept me here online for over 2 years. I keep adjusting what I do and still continue plodding forward. Sometimes I get a little discouraged, but have recently found my voice and totally understand what that means. How this will all transpire, I have no idea, but I belief there is some bigger purpose for me. I have had some chapters in my life closed and it seems to have given me the freedom to think bigger and bolder.
I try not to live in the past…but it does creep back in once in awhile. Living in the moment and working towards the future is the plan for now. When I get overwhelmed with fears of what if’s, I bring myself back to “everything is okay right now in this moment”. With deep slow breaths it works quite well.
Yes, I am very grateful and I got a wake up call the other day at the grocery store.
Thanks for the post today.

Your story is the perfect example Mary. You do believe and it’s what has kept you going all this time because nothing is going to happen over night. Unfortunately they are lessons we have to learn along the way but when we finally “get it” it’s so rewarding.
Life does get in the way and we will waver at times. That’s just part of the process I believe but as long as we continue to believe this is where we belong everything will continue to fall into place. I’m so glad you have found your voice and are seeing how this is moving you in the right direction. Don’t you worry, you’re heading there girl.
Oh, a wake up call. Sometimes they can be good and it sounds like yours was.

Hi Adrienne,
I couldn’t have thought of a better gift Adrienne as if you read what I am going through. I am still in the stage of overwhelm, frustration and the feeling of unworthiness and questioning “Can I really do this?” kind of thing. I trust God and I know he has a great plan for me but I doubt myself a lot and surrounded by negativity is just making it worth. I love your message (gift) and I will take it as if it is God sent to me through you.
Yes, I need to believe in myself and I can do it even if I don’t see results now but everything will fall into place in due time.
Thanks for being my inspiration today and always Adrienne. You are an angel.
Happy Valentine day to you and enjoy it with your doggy and your Mum.
Be Blessed,

Hi Neamat,
We’ve all been there Neamat, not that that is very comforting. When you’re going through that and your family members are telling you to make money right now and they don’t understand the process. I only wish life worked that way and I wish that the learning process wasn’t so long either. I hate it when people tell me this so please let me apologize to you right now but you’ll appreciate the journey that much more having gone through it even though we wanted it all yesterday. I beat myself up for years girl! Just know you are on the right path and you just stick with the belief that everything happens for a reason and everything that you are doing will pay off big time. You keep that big heart of yours helping others and it will all come back to you ten fold.
Glad my message today was helpful and if you ever need reassurance, come back to this message again. It’s a process girl but one you’ll appreciate later.
Thank you so much and Happy Valentine’s Day to you too. I’ll definitely enjoy my dog and my Mom’s company today.

Talk about inspiring Adrienne, wow! You really know how to inspire us. There are days I’m unsure of what I’m doing and if I will succeed with my goals. I guess mindset is really a must in order to succeed at what you want to accomplish.
I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for your Valentine’s Day gift of inspiring us once again Adrienne.

Hi Adrienne,
It isn’t easy to kick people in the behinds. It takes courage and boldness to say it like it is. I like the way you didn’t offend anyone. First of all I think many beginning marketers and some seasoned marketers miss the boat because their main focus is making money. There is nothing wrong with wanting or needing to make money. They have visions of leaving their jobs, living their dreams, and for some, doing what they love.
It takes a lot of struggle and figuring things out because as you progress forward, you will hit brick walls. When you hit them, your only chance of making it depends upon whether you go through, around, under or whatever way it takes to get through. Then of course once the first one is conquered, another shows up and another and another. Each one conquered builds more determination, confidence, and faith. That is the way it is no matter what goal you are trying to accomplish.
Getting through the first wall is the first step, but it took me a long time to realize my belief system needed to change to get through. Even after you “succeed” there will always be walls that pop up. Life works that way so we can become stronger. I see so many people sitting behind the first one, and staying stuck for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t change until they decide they want to change. My point is belief and mindset needs to be taken care of first. Otherwise that is why so many people in this business spin their wheels, get discouraged, and quit. Some leave and blame everyone else for their wasted time, money, and effort. The sad thing is many of these people don’t recognize they are a “victim” (usually self imposed) in the first place. That mentality has to be extinguished and your belief in yourself has to be so strong that it will overcome any obstacle that comes your way. Victims also create their own obstacles which are great excuses for failure.
Like you, I knew I wanted to be successful and I was determined…no matter what. I have a passion for this business and I wanted to reach time and money freedom and help others do the same. What changed things for me is my mindset and believing I could do it. It took time to build confidence and truly believe in my heart that I KNEW I could do it. After awhile I had so many “obstacles” put in my path, I learned to laugh and move on. I stopped calling them “brick walls” or “obstacles” and I perceived them as stepping stones. My thoughts of pure defeat changed to “Bring It On!.” It doesn’t mean I don’t get ever get frustrated sometimes. I do. Self Development has taught me how to handle the feelings and emotions when they come up.
We are in charge of our lives, and I always remember this quote, “You are where you want to be.” If you think you are not where you want to be, then it is up to you to change it. When it gets uncomfortable enough..you will.
I don’t mean to sound harsh either, but I can already hear the excuses. “You don’t have it as hard as I have.” “I’m trapped.” “I can’t do anything about it.” “I don’t have enough money.” If you are revolving those thoughts in your head, it’s time to stop what you are doing and learn personal development. It changes everything. It opens doors. You have to practice and train your subconscious so it doesn’t control your life. You have to literally unravel you old belief system so your mind can open and receive success. The excuses will perpetuate more excuses and “failure” throughout your lifetime if you don’t do anything about it.
I have to stop because I can write a book on this Adrienne! So I’ll just say Happy Valentines Day…excellent wake up call for those who are skipping mindset work. I’m spending my Valentines Day with my doggie too!
You are a child of the higher power, you are special, you are unique, you are one of a kind.

Hey Raena, Happy Valentine’s Day girl!
I’m always leery that I might offend someone and that’s not my intention because I needed this kick myself over the years. I was one of those that came into this with the money mindset because I had lost my job and I needed it, like now! Guess what… It didn’t come for years either because of where my head was at but I didn’t know that at the time.
You are so right about the walls we continue to hit but in my opinion, they are there for a reason. Had we not hit them we would still be on the wrong path never getting to our desired destination. It’s like planning a road trip and mapping out where you need to go. It’s a process and a journey indeed.
You are so right and that is the main reason people quit. I use to think that personal development consisted of nothing but having a positive attitude and that’s something I was not lacking in. I seriously had no idea everything that I needed to deal with and most people aren’t aware of that either. The one thing about being an entrepreneur is that they have to be open to change. They have to be open to listening to others in order to continue learning and growing which is why with time you’ll hear about all those success stories. That’s why it takes years to get to that place.
That’s the perfect example of exactly what this process is all about. I’m so glad you shared that with me Raena and that you no longer see them as brick walls. No matter what our age is we’ll always be learning and personal development is an ongoing process. Even the most successful coaches in the world are still learning how to improve things or get around things or move through things. That’s what it’s all about.
I remember that quote to so you’ve got it good enough.
I know and I didn’t want to be harsh with people but you’ll never move past where you currently are unless you learn how to change the way you think about your circumstances. I can’t help but think of Dani Johnson’s story of how she was 21 years old, had a baby, on her own and living in the back of her car. You don’t get much worse then that but within two years time was a millionaire. You either want this bad enough or you don’t so just man up and do it darn it.
I appreciate your mini novel here Raena and I can tell you’re so passionate about this subject. But see that’s the whole thing I’m trying to say. You HAVE to experiene it for yourself to fully “get it”. But once you do, there is no place but up.
Glad you enjoyed the post and you two have a great day! Kayla and I will too!

I was meant to read this post because this week was full of moments of self-doubt and then I read this. Yep, message received God
“Stop worrying about the “how” and just “know” it will happen…” It can’t be said any better than this. As a new blogger I take comfort in knowing that I’m not the only one going through the ups and downs that comes with running a business and I’m thankful people like you share their story because it gives me hope that I’ll get through it too.
I also put my faith in God. He’s got me on this journey that I have no experience in but somehow I know what I’m doing and everything falls into place. I love it
Thanks for sharing this, happy Valentine’s day!

Hi Cori,
Well good, then this message was a gift! Yay, sorry you need it but glad it was there to help.
You are definitely not alone in this, I promise you. It’s a learning process just like anything else and it takes time. When we aren’t familiar really with what we’re doing then of course we’re going to have doubts. We want results yesterday and when we don’t get them it’s nerve wracking. When you believe this is where you’re meant to be then the rest will fall into place, I promise you.
He wanted you to expand your horizons. I read something the other day in my devotional that I’d love to share with you.
“There is a rawness and a wonder to life. Pursue it. Hunt for it. Sell out to get it. Don’t listen to the whines of those who have settled for a second-rate life and want you to do the same so they won’t feel guilty. Your goal is not to live long; it’s to live.
Instead of building a fire in your hearth, build a fire in your heart. Follow God’s impulses. Adopt a child. Move overseas. Teach the class. Change careers. Run for office. Make a difference. Sure it isn’t safe, but what is?”
I LOVE that Cori, don’t you?
Happy Valentine’s Day girl and you rock on!

Happy Valentine Adrienne,
I wished i was close to where you live, i would have taken you out today, but all the same, I’m happy you celebrated with your mum and dog.
I was in a meeting all day and when i finally came out, i visited the motherless babies, that was how i celebrated mine.
You can bear me witness that I’ve also experienced what you’re talking about here in fact, it wasn’t easy at all, but with the help of wonderful and caring friends like you, i was able to overcome it.
Just like you suggested, I’ve learnt to always ask myself….. “WHY am i here in the first place” whenever i start feeling that way again.
There is a saying that goes….. THEY CONQUER THOSE WHO THINKS THEY CAN.
So the only option left for me now is to keep the balling because i know they can’t conquer me and i believe they can’t conquer you as well.
Take care of yourself Adrienne, I’m proud of you always.

Happy Valentine’s Day To You Too Adrienne!
Amen to this! I must say that today is not only Valentines day for me, but it’ my husband’s birthday! Yep..Now that is really celebrating a day of love for me.
Back to your post…As a fellow Christian, I know darn well that I could not do ANYTHING at all without the guy upstairs. And it is because of my strong belief system, when I’m having a “doubtful” day, I just close my eyes for a moment and realize God is by my side. This gives me the nourishment I need to press on. Self Development has been my thing for years and there have been many studies that people that do believe in God or “the creator” or whatever you may call it, have a better chance in life to be more physically and mentally strong. That being said, these are the people who succeed the most….that’s my opinion.
I like when you addressed the issue of “victim.” I just had a conversation today about that! Sometimes the victim mentality is rewarded by getting people to do things for them. Now I ask you, with all that energy a victim puts out, if they turned it around to be a “victor” they could have anything they set their mind to have.
I have even worked with some “victims” and a few would chose a way to become a victor. As for the others, the people who won’t change, I cannot work with. I know that it will only turn into a big old mess. The Victim loves to blame. So if you are leading them in some way, they will always find a way to blame you. As a “leader” of sorts, it is my responsibility to know that behavior and tell them sorry, I cannot work with you.
I learned this the hard way years ago and can smell that victim that will never change a mile away. Now I’m not bashing or putting them all in one group, but when I see repeated behavior of people who won’t even try, or are negative just about everything, I have to shut them out.
For me, God plays an important role in my life. So even when I have to say “No” to someone, I do continue to pray for them.
So Adrienne, my Valentine’s Gift for you is this: As a Roman Catholic, these are the high holy days where for 40 days I pray more than I ever do. My dear I will light a candle for you. It is my special prayer because you have been such a blessing in my life.

Why thank you Donna! ♥
I think that’s pretty cool but I’m sure some women would feel jipped. To me, this is a day to show those how much you love them and I have a feeling David does NOT leave you out.
I know you are a Christian and a believer in God, we’ve had these talks. I also agree with you that those who have faith and believe usually are the ones that are much better off then others. We know who is in charge and turn to in a time of need.
That’s so true about the victim mentality. I guess they want that “oh you poor thing” type attention but unfortunately for me that’s a huge turn off. If they only put that much energy into moving forward they would have reached that destination a long time ago.
I applaud you for taking charge like that because I know that you definitely get all kinds of people who come to you with issues. I know a lot of people who have been able to move past it and have gone on to have big victories. Bravo for them, I so admire that. Life isn’t always easy but we make it what it is.
I agree with you Donna, I will continue to pray that they find their way or have their own aha moments, we just can’t be a part of it if they refuse our help.
Oh Donna, that brought tears to my eyes. I’m so very touched, I truly mean that. Thank you so very much and I’m so honored to know you. I always appreciate prayers so thank you so much for that.

Hi Adrienne
Oh I have been waiting for this post. I usually do not look at yours until later in the day but you had me curious.
Happy Valentine’s Day lovely lady. You are loved my many pretty much around the world how cool is that?
I love this post Adrienne. Given it is the theme I have been writing on to some extent recently you know I love the topic. You have tied it in beautifully to our online businesses.
Even though I know this stuff and have been studying it for years somehow my self belief went down the drain when I first came online. I understand LOA but at times my crazy self talk comes back to haunt me. I think the difference is I know I am totally in charge of my results and I never go into victim mode.
For me one of the most difficult things has been letting go of the “how’s”. Your line Stop worrying about the “how” and just “know” it will happen… is a good one for me
A great post my friend. You are a special lady

Hi Sue,
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day Sue and a fabulous lunch with your friends. I’ve had a really wonderful day as well, thank you. So glad you came by and eager to read what I had to say on this subject.
I loved your post so much when I read it because as we talked, I had this in mind to share today. I wanted to help others know they can do anything if they believe yet they are not alone in this journey.
You know Sue on a subconscious level I’ve always known about the law of attraction as well and I think it’s only a natural course to doubt ourselves when we venture into unknown territory. I mean come on, this stuff was mind boggling to me. That’s why I’m not belittling the fact at all that it’s not an easy task to change our mindset but it’s imperative if we want to succeed and we have to KNOW that this is where we belong.
The how got me for the longest time but once I finally understood it all it just fell into place. I still have my moments but like you said, not as often at all anymore.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me and you are also a very special lady and I’m honored to know you.
Thank you Sue!

Hello Adrian; This was a great post and extremely well timed. You are right, most of us know this. The thing is due to all the daily stresses, most of us also need to be reminded of it often. we need our friends and family to build us up on a daily basis. We need our mentors like you to remind us how special we are and how that we are children of the most high god and put on this earth for greatness not just to survive or to get by but to succeed and be an example to everyone else. I may not be considered a success by a lot of people, but I believe I am well on my way to being there. I believe that the sales and clients i’ve generated so far are great when considering where i started and what little resources I’ve had along the way. but I also believe I’m poised for that break out moment. I continue to meet new people make new connections, and build my reputation in my marketplace. You are a great source of information and encouragement and I’m glad to be part of your community. thanks and take care, max

Hi Max,
Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed my message today.
I think we all need a reminder, even me. I get reminded every single day because I read daily devotionals and afformations to keeping me moving in the right direction. I just want everyone to know that we can just take one day at a time and do the best for that moment because if you truly believe this is where you’re meant to be, it will all happen in due time.
I have no doubt that you’re headed in the right direction Max. Businesses aren’t built overnight, a full client base isn’t just automatically given to us, especially those who trust us. You’re moving in the direction you’re suppose to and as you said, doors are opening.
Thank you for sharing that and I’m so glad I can be a source of inspiration. I appreciate you telling me that, it’s so helpful to me.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi adrian; First, thanks for putting in the extra effort of checking the spam folder to make sure you aren’t missing any of us. While it is in your best interest too, some site owners wouldn’t show that much care. As for that problem perhaps your hosting company has changed the way your email is handled. I was recently told that my accomplishments in the area of weight loss were inspiring. I thought about how good it made me feel to hear it and it just felt right to tell you that at the time. and I’m sure I’m not the only person who thinks so. I have lost 161 pounds in the last year due to a gastric surgery, healthy eating, exercise, and support from education classes and others who had their surgery at the same clinic. and i agree with you about devotionals. if you don’t feel right coming up with your own affirmations to start your day off right, then subscribe to a good positive roll model’s site and pray, think, meditate, etc over their words. i have found one of the best things for me is also to listen to uplifting audio books while doing my daily exercise. I am almost totally blind, so i get books on tape from the library for the blind. at least they used to be on tape, now you download them to a digital player; but i’m heavy into self help books that build me up while I’m riding my stationary bike or walking on my treadmill. and you are right about it taking time to build up a group of clients. at least i’ve progressed from only having equipment that belongs to my friends or family. so, i get up every day and continue to build my network, expand the mailing list, and encourage new people to list their items with me. thanks again for the encouragement and love. take care, max

No problem Max, this issue just started last month. People who have been commenting for years are now landing there so I now know to check it. All my settings are the same, nothing has changed so we’re trying to figure out what the heck is going on with this. Driving me nuts.
I know that when I delete some people’s URL, there is a strange code that is thrown into their email address. That just started happening too. Huh….
Wow Max, what an accomplishment. 161 pounds is a huge feat! I have now met several people online who have conquered their weight in different ways. I’ve never been but maybe 30 pounds overweight at the most in my life so I can’t even imagine having that much weight to lose. Congratulations and that is very motivating and inspiring for many.
Thank you so much and I agree. People want to know they’re appreciated and that what they’re doing is helping others. That’s why I always tell my readers thank you and that I appreciate them because without them I would be nowhere.
I have two daily devotionals I read everyday along with my gratitude list and my afformations so I have a morning routine that I never waver from. A lot of what I pray about has come into my life which is why I wanted to share this message.
You’re on the right track Max because everything takes time. Rome wasn’t built in a day so you keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll get there my friend.
I appreciate you sharing that with me, sincerely. Thank you so much and you enjoy your weekend.

Hi Adrian; well, I should have known that if it were something that simple that you would have figured it out by now. smile Yes, it is a big accomplishment losing 161 pounds which puts me at 351. My surgeon thinks I should end up at 250. so much more work to do there. Just like with the business and the website more work ahead but at least its work i enjoy and that I feel I’m good at. I need to meet someone who can help me solve the riddle of converting my old links pages to the new wordpress based website, but i can continue using my old links pages until that happens. I can create and edit pages just fine, but when using a screen reader, i just can’t manage moving them around on the custom menu page so they work like my existing links pages do. But people say that the new site looks really good and they know its just a matter of time before its all prettied up. and in addition to email devotionals i also start my day out by petting my crazy mut of a dog named penny. She is a good doggie. if i don’t pet her enough, she will come tell me its time to put the laptop down and take a break. well thanks again for the great post and friendly conversation and take care, max

Happy Valentine’s Day to you Adrienne, and a special hug to Kayla and your Mom too.
I guess I’m a little late today, but then I was celebrating it with my Valentine.
This is such a wonderful gift for everyone Adrienne – of believing in yourself and your abilities, something that all of us need from time to time. Yes, you are so right that things are different in the offline world, but when you are online, there are times when you start having doubts, or fail to know your direction and goal, and that will affect your work and business. You need to be focused and determined to reach where you want to reach.
I agree, we need to be patient and put all our efforts in working towards our goals by believing in ourselves because everything takes time. Yes – we have no excuses and nor should we blame anyone for our inabilities or shortcomings. Whatever happens, happens for a reason is what I believe in, and if for some reason we haven’t been able to reach where we should have, perhaps it was a learning lesson for us. Hello Adrienne,
A belated Valentine’s Day greeting. Your precious gift came to me at the
perfect moment.
The day was a bit of a crisis for me. I’ve been undecided for
a long time about the next step to take in a personal relationship.
Valentine’s Day turned out to be a niggling reminder that I had to make a
decision and take action.
The issue was not business related but I would be lying if I said it did not
affect every part of my life.
Reading your message (and Raena Lynn’s wonderful post, and others), has
really helped to lift the fog and suddenly I could see clearly what I had to do.
Adrienne, you have made a difference. I thank you, your wonderful
community, and I must thank St. Valentine as well, because without him
you probably would not have written this post exactly when I needed to
read it.
All the best,
~ Jude

Oh, I love hearing that. Your personal life is the most important because without everything running smoothly, you’ll be distracted in your business.
I’m SO thrilled that my post as well as others have helped you come to the right decision for yourself. See, sometimes we need those aha moments so we can see clearly and what steps we need to take next.
I’m so happy to hear that Jude and see, I helped a few people through this post which was my intention. I just appreciate you sharing that with me and I know Jude that from this day forward, things will get much better for you. I’m sending you my love! ♥
Now, you have a darn good weekend okay! I can feel everything lifting as I type!

Hi Adrienne,
I hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day!
I could so resonate with what you said. I’m glad you reminded us of our ‘higher power’, which all of us have, yet we can forget also. When we let our individual ‘higher power’ govern our way of being, everything else just falls into place.
I’d consider myself as pretty committed and know where I’m going. Even still, I’ve been having a few doubts recently and your post was very timely, so thanks very much.

Well first of all Adrienne, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I have been so busy that I forgot all about it until the day before when my husband said “Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, isn’t it?” But that’s ok because we usually celebrate it whenever we want anyway
You wrote a really touching and beautiful post here. Sadly there are plenty of people who do not think they are special or important. They can’t get to the part where they want and expect good things for themselves because they don’t feel worthy. So I think it’s up to the rest of us to be positive influences for them. That’s definitely something YOU are. You uplift people and you always share your best.
It’s true you have to believe you can achieve something before you actually can. If not you’ll just be battling yourself. I loved your story and I loved your post. I hope every day is a happy one for you because you deserve it

Hey Carol,
I did have a good day. I’ve actually been fighting a stomach bug so I’ve been very cautious about what I put in my mouth so my celebrating was low key. I know what you mean about being busy though but glad you and Ralph don’t make a huge thing of it or one of you might have been disappointed.
Thank you Carol, I appreciate that and glad you felt that way. I know exactly what you mean and for a lot of people they don’t see themselves the way we see them. I know that’s even the case for me in some areas of what I do which is why we need those positive influences in our lives. I’m more then happy to take the rein for some.
Glad you enjoyed this one and I hope I can continue to inspire others for a long time to come. I’ll make everyday a happy one and I’m sure you will as well.
Enjoy your weekend and don’t work too terribly hard.

I agree Adrienne, believing in yourself is more important than anything else. It has happened only once with me that I wanted something to happen but there were no signs of my wish coming true and suddenly I got an opportunity, I grabbed it and my dream came true. I know how it feels then, all I did always was believe in ME like you said.

Hi Adrienne,
I am a bit late, but better late then never, right?
We don’t celebrate Valentine as much as you do in the US, but it’s slowly becoming part of the Norwegian culture and that’s great, along with Halloween, fathers day and mothers day and some other “special days”.
I have discovered a mind shift during the past years. When I worked at the University, I didn’t believe in myself like I do today. It was mostly because of the system. We hardly received a thank you when we did a good job, and all we got was feedback when things didn’t go as planned. That doesn’t really help you grow. Now, things are close to the opposite for me. I get all the awesome feedback, because now I am a solo entrepreneur and when things are going great, I get the great feedback as well.
What I have had problems with during my time as a solo entrepreneur is to know exactly what I want to accomplish. I am working with clients, and I am doing my best to make them happy. But, I want to be more specific, and I want to work against a long term goal (a huge goal, that sounds like it’s impossible to reach) that I will reach one day and make it happen.
I believe you are absolutely right. We can all become highly successful as long as we believe that we can. If we don’t believe in ourselves, we will never be successful. That’s for sure.
Have a great weekend Adrienne.

Hi Jens,
No worries my friend, I had one of those weeks too. It’s great to see you anytime, early or late.
I’ve always wondered what’s celebrated in other countries since I know a lot of our holidays are based on US creations more or less. Not all of course.
I hear you Jens and I think that’s an issue for a lot of people. I know that for me, I appreciated the “great job” remarks almost better then the raise. Okay, the money was always a welcome addition but it’s nice to be thanked for a job well done. Oh sure, people expect it which is why they pay you but if they would only realize that their employees would be even more eager to go above and beyond if they knew they were appreciated then they might have a change of heart.
I think it’s all just a learning process and the more you do this work the more you’ll learn what you’re working towards. You’ll get there, I have faith in you.
Just “believe” that you will and the doors will open to show you the “how”. Don’t beat yourself up about it because this is how it really works. I’m not saying you can’t plan but like you say you aren’t sure exactly what you want to accomplish. Just know in your heart that this is where you belong and it will come to you. That’s what I love about this.
Thank you for sharing that Jens and you have a great weekend too.

Hi Adrienne,
Apologies for this belated reply – I’m in ‘catch-up’ mode (again!)
I can easily relate to this post because I’ve spent most of my life NOT believing in myself and made many decisions based on fear and a sense of my own inadequacy.
One of the greatest things I’ve found since working online is access to so much great personal development advice on other blogs and via social media, which has certainly helped me to look at myself in a different way.
I know what you mean about ‘energy devils’ – it certainly helps to mix with people who help to reinforce your self belief, rather than those who would undermine it. You’re definitely in the former camp, Adrienne, and I can honestly say that you’re one of my main sources of inspiration.
So thank you very much for this lovely Valentine’s Day gift!
I hope you’re having a great weekend and a well-deserved rest,

Hi Sue,
No need to apologize Sue because I was like that this week too. I was under the weather last Sunday and it took me until Friday to feel better. Not on my A game so I know what it’s like to be behind. You’re welcome here any time young lady.
I would never have thought that of you Sue. See, the perception we have of ourselves is different then how others see us. I look at you as a very strong willed lady who takes life by the horns and goes for it.
If it wasn’t for the internet Sue, I wouldn’t have gotten this far either. I know exactly what you mean about having all this access to great information.
I’ve learned through this process to attract the right people into my life now. It’s definitely been a process because I love people, all people. Even those who are back at the start where we once were. I just finally had to realize that there are people who will never take the steps necessary to become a better person no matter how much they talk about it. I had to move on if I wanted to keep my sanity.
Thank you for your kind words Sue and I’m so thrilled I can be that inspiration for you.
I will definitely have a great weekend and you do the same.

Wow that was a Great Post and even greater gift. I’m a truly believer in God and a that Higher Power. Sometimes is hard to believe in ourselves when circumstances are not ideal and often we let obstacles take over our power, but the truth is as you said that it’s our own fault because we let it. It’s also true that we can get lost for a moment until we find encouraging messages like this. I’m still working on my own energy, on my own power, I’m believing in my instincts and letting it guide me. Some time heart knows better!
.
I do think that if we really believe we can do something then we can but we can not expect it to happen by itself, I learned that long ago :S, we have to work hard. In my opinion is about determination, will and self-motivation.
Thank you for making me remember that.

You’re most definitely right Camila, we can’t do it alone. We can’t sit on our hands and expect things to fall in our laps. But it all starts with believing in ourselves and the “how” will come. Then it’s up to us to take action.

Hi Adrienne,
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s day with your mom and cutie Kayla
It’s all about love, no? It was a pretty busy day for me but I had all the love as I have everyday
It’s inspiring indeed and I can see how everyone agrees with the fact here
Obviously, the first ever thing is believe in us and not about “how” it’s gonna happen as you said dear. I wasn’t there when I first start out and I needed some time to go with it Adrienne. We all have obstacles to overcome and my little mind was very afraid on taking decisions my own as it was always needed approval of my father. I was worries it might result punishing or blame
Even yet blogging is a secret mission of mine.
But I can smile with the pride thinking where I’m heading to dear. I can prove my decisions are not wrong at all
It will be so soon I’ll prove it and believe in all the support I need. Yet it’s a secret among us, owkies?
Send my love to Kayla and you mom too. I can recall her being on the motorbike and that’s making me smile right now
Have a lovely weekend Adrienne
Cheers…

In my eyes, there is no greater gift than the one you’ve offered to us in this post, Adrienne. While my spiritual journey has taken many new and rewarding twist and turns since I started sharing my thoughts, insights, and lessons online; I know with great certainty and conviction my entire life is a testament to the awesomeness of the Higher Power in my life. There has been countless personal experiences, just in the last couple of years, which has afforded me a divine glimpse of It being at work in my life, as well as on this journey. If it was all me, I know I would have threw in the title so long ago, but something inside of me, be it intuition or the Beloved speaking to my heart; keeps me going and doing things that I certainly cannot take much of the credit having done. Consequently, I attribute being online to have restored my personal relationship and regained faith. I believe with all that is within me that my steps have been ordered, and for whatever reason, I have found much favor in the Higher Power’s sight. Each day, I am learning to be more present in the here and now. I am discovering strength I didn’t know was available, knowledge that seemingly is coming out of nowhere, and wisdom that often leave me asking myself, “Did I say or write that?” It’s a liberating feeling! I know what I would like to become of this journey, but the truth is, I have no idea where it might lead. And you know what, I’m OK with that. The process and growth that I’ve gained has been priceless, but incredibly rewarding. All I know for sure is that I am a very blessed man. I’m doing something I really enjoy doing, and helping other people in the process. If that isn’t blessed, I accept whatever it might be called. It feels good, and I want to share this feeling with as many people as I can; just as you have done for all of us today. So thank you for sharing this precious gift with us. It meant the world for me personally to read. I hope it does for all of those that will receive your kindhearted gesture. Blessing to you, my friend. Stay awesome!

Wow Deone, I really appreciate you baring your soul in your comment. I hope that a lot of people have been through some of the same things you have. See, that’s why this process is a journey. We have to go through some of this stuff in order to really truly understand what we need to. I think if it was handed to us on a silver platter we wouldn’t appreciate it so much because we didn’t go through any experiences to get here.
It’s like someone have a near death experience. I hate that’s what it takes a lot of the time before people start really appreciating life. Heck, we should automatically appreciate each new day because it’s a gift.
Thank you for sharing this with me Deone and I really do appreciate you my friend. I’m so happy that your journey continues to take you in the right direction. And what a beautiful gift it is…

Hi Adrienne,
I’m a little late to the party. Been busy, but that’s okay.
Great topic. And it’s kind of funny that you brought it up.
I’ve been running around for about the last month or more, feeling totally lost. As you know, I’ve totally changed the focus and design of my blog. And I’ve been working on a business training program and working with a coach, on top of plain old work and everything else.
I know I still have several things I need to do to my blog to get it to where I want to be. And I have to add new emails into my autoresponder. And on and on and on.
But you know something, I’ve had this unmistakable feeling that I’m right on the edge of doing really great things. I can’t put my finger on it, but I can feel it deep down inside that I’m getting very close to having a monumental personal breakthrough.
I, too, have a very deep-seeded faith in God. I’ve grown closer to Him since the beginning of the year, and I know that He’s one of the big reasons that I will win at this. It may not be when I expect it or hope for it, but it will come in His time.
I know that He has trials, tribulations, and struggles that He has placed in my path for me to go through, and more still for me to face, to prepare me for His plan. And any success will be because of Him and His Grace for waiting around for me to figure out that the only way I’m going to win big is to let Him give me the directions.
All this to say that, even though I still get frustrated, aggravated, and overwhelmed sometimes, I know that I’m on the right path and that I will make it. Those that believe in me and join me will have great things happen for them, too. Those that want to doubt and nay-say me will simply be left behind.
Thanks for sharing this, Adrienne. It came at a very good time for me.
I hope you have a truly outstanding week!
Talk soon.

We all get frustrated Barry because we want what we want when we want it. Those that have the faith though realize that this is a journey we all have to go through and these are lessons we have to learn so we can some day help others.

Hi Adrienne
A belated happy Valentine’s Day to you!
It was school holidays last week so I’ve hardly been online. I’ve spent loads of quality time with my family and I’m only just getting back into the swing of things today.
I definitely believe and will do everything I possibly can to succeed online.
You know my situation though, Adrienne. I’m not 100% in control of my whole day at the moment due to my circumstances but as the kids grow up I will have much more time to make things happen.
I’m working towards moving things on much more when my daughter starts to attend nursery. Initially that will be during the mornings from September but that will give me the impetus I really need.
Inspiring post Adrienne and if I can make things start to happen I will do but for now I’m grinding away and finding my path slowly!
I hope you’ve had a great weekend.
